Lidstrom on Jim Rome radio show this morning
Konnan511 replied to Behind Enemy Lines in CO's topic in General
How could one hear anything Lidstrom says over the sounds of Angel's singing and the sound of vast amount of coinage falling around him because of how money he is. -
One of my really good friends is going to the game and she made a sign that says "The only thing better than dollar hots dogs and a Miller Lite are roasted Ducks"
-
Holy hyperbole. It didn't hit him in the mouth, it hit him flush just below his eye. A visor would have saved his orbital bone. A full face shield wouldn't have protected Stuart, only Spidey-senses would have helped him.
-
Only if Yzerman had been wearing a visor....
-
As his skating progresses, so does the chance of making the Wings team earlier than normal.
-
A full 60 minutes from all the players would make me very happy.
-
Leino, Flip Snr who's next years surprise pick up?
Konnan511 replied to Andy Pred 48's topic in General
He just doesn't have NHL quality skating, otherwise I'm sure many teams would have offered him a contract as he has all the other tools. -
How is it "not even a dark horse"? Most people I've seen have been putting Stuart and Kronwall over Cleary, even yourself put Kronwall over Cleary. That's a dark horse.
-
Who will get an "A" first. Filppula or Franzen? We all know after Lidstrom retires the captaincy will probably look like this: C/A: Zetterberg C/A: Datsyuk A: Rafalski And my dark horse if the Wings are rotating: A: Cleary. According to a statistic I just made up, it's a 75% certainty that Zetterberg will be our next captain.

You don't need to have been a ref to be able to spot a good one or bad one just like you don't need to have been a GM to know which ones are the good ones and which ones are the bad ones.

Seabrook extended for 5 years at $5.8 million per year

62-63 mil -
Well, he has helped carry the Sharks this season and he had an excellent season last season, 4mil doesn't seem too bad.
-
We finally controlled a game, so of course we're going to get the calls. When you do nothing but chase you're going to have penalties called on you.
-
You do know Jonathon F'n Ericsson is outperforming Bogosian this year, right?
-
I'll take his turnovers for his top 20 +/- rating any day of the week
-
Don't worry, I'm not getting bent out of shape
-
And with the cap continuing to rise and if the NHL and HBO strike another deal i can see the cap going up another 3mil next season and this deal not looking bad at all.

2011 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - February 28th, 3:00 PM ET

Very boring trade deadline. The big names already went and the other big names are being guarded by terribly high values. NYI want a 2nd rounder for Konkopa.... really.... -
31st and 29th are close enough to dead last as it gets and if you include back ups who play a hefty amount of games then he is below 31st in those statistical catagories, which would put him outside the "not last" category. You can refute it all you want, but stats don't lie. They may be misleading as you've alluded to...but they don't lie. Howie is last in terms of starting goaltenders and even behind a handful of back up goalies.
-
Sorry, i misspoke. 31st in GAA or 38th if you include goalies who have started at least 15 games and 29th in S% or 33rd if you count goalies who have started at least 15 games. Where do you think I come up with this is the real question, because these are facts.
-
Then with Draper/Modano/Lidstrom/Miller/Salei/Ozzie perhaps all leaving and the cap rising 3-4 million we have instantly gained roughly 10 mil and that's not counting the 6mil from lidstrom or any reduced pay he might take next season. All we have left to re-sign is Big E and Eaves and that'll be a half mil increase to each of their salaries. So we'll have 10-16 mil next season to f*** around with. So take your "..." somewhere else
-
Last in Save Percentage and Goals Against Average...Should have been 2mil or under, but I'm glad we got him re-signed. If he ever works on his rebounds and consistency, he'll dominate this league. It's just rough to see Joey have better rebound control than Jimmy, but beggars can't be choosers.
-
He would have easily made this on the open market, if not substantially more considering how young he still is.
