We can do way better than Hudler. That said, I wouldn't mind him back, one dimensional or not, he's a 25 goal scorer. He's our secondary scoring and a good secondary scorer at that. If he can be had for a steal at 3 mil or less we should do it.

So pretty!

Very good signing. He's going to get you 25 points or more while being an excellent pker and a tenacious forechecker. Good signing Kenny!!!

The prices are hefty, but I guess this is where having no kids and no responsibilities other than rent and student loans comes in handy. I could save up for three months and be able to get a pair of tickets. But I can understand people with a family and how they would feel.
-
Might as well dump Ken Kal and all are banners while we're at it.
-
Hoping I can get some tickets through work.

Franzen annoys me, but you're essentially trading Laich for Fanzen and Helm/Kindl for Green. The latter would be a steal, but trading our leading goal scorer for Laich is a terrrrrible trade.

The sad part is you have to imagine that some sort of this conversation happened, "give our players whatever they want, or I'll find a medical team coach that will". "if they hurt, make them feel better." it's really the culture of sports. Just like when Colt McCoy was clearly knocked retarded, the coaching staff STILL put him out there. All they had to say was "our bad", and it more or less went away.

Five points in his last two games of this season. Really starting out strong after finishing 2010 with 6 points in his final 10 games. Kid is looking amazing, one huge steal of the draft. Thank God Wings don't fear drafting Euros!

We all love Helm, but no to getting an A this early. Draper got an A because he was a leader on and off the ice. I'm surprised Lidstroms three favorites had Kronwall and Filppula in the mix with Zetterberg. I'd be ok with any of the 3. Plus, we never know, maybe Zetterberg doesn't want the C and will turn it down in favor of one of the younger players.

Let's all hope he was joking. So I guess this means Homer is officially out as well then eh.

The words class and amazing get tossed around too liberally, but in this instance, they are the words that best describe The Perfect Human.
-
The Devils won't be able to retain him, though, not with their substantial debt.

I picked Iron Hook and Jurco. Smith will bea very good top four DMan and Nyquist I have as a formidable top six guy. Jurco has all the tools to dominate. In five years after a few seasons in the NHL and at his NHL prime playing weight, Jarnkrok will be established as a star. Funny thing though, XO I have projected as being a better player than Smith by a decent margin.

No where in your initial post did you say sign Suter first and foremost, then bring over this guy and I'll be ok with it. You went straight into spaz mode.
-
I would have put 0%, but it wasn't on there. I want him and/or Suter, but other teams will offer stupidly high contracts to 'em.
-
Cross check to the face then a spear to the nuts. And some people are condoning those actions? SMH.
-
The owners and player love him. Any smart hockey fan knows he's good for the game. Atrocious person? Really? Come on now.
-
Jarnkrok will be centering Swedens second line today against Denmark. If he's good enough to be Swedens second best center (save for playoff performers) he should be able to help the Wings next year. I know he won't be brought over, but a line of Nyquist, Jarnkrok, and Filppula would be one hellish fast and skilled line.

21 saves on 23 shots for JHowww

Calle Jarnkrok - Does he have a chance to make next season's team?

Size is overrated. Heart, skill, and hockey IQ are more important. Stevie Y was tiny, Selanne, and a whole slew of other players enter the league every season smaller than Iron Hook and they fair just well. I know it's a plus to be big when you enter the league, but it's not the advantage in today's NHL as it was back in the late 80s and 90s. There are many a players who are big that enter the league that are just that, and nothing more, but pylons. Iron Hook, the Sauce, and Gus will all be fine if they played 10-13 minutes a night next season and beyond. Jarnkrok looks to be at least the third line center for the Swedish team this year with a good chance of being the second line center. -

He will get a good look if he comes to training camp, but he is probably one season away. He's good enough now, but let him be THE man in the SEL for one season. -
He gets to stay home with his new wife. Gets more money. And like I said, he gets to stay home. Doesnt shock me. He also gets to hone his skills playing first line minutes in a decent league.

We just need a consistent disciplinarian who has a zero tolerance for cheap crap. Shanny started off that way, then relapsed into his predecessor.
