You can't definitively say that's not true because you could actually argue they are, just look at their defense. Unless you can refute his statement with out saying "Dude you're a homer, but I am not going to offer up who I think are deeper", then no need to call him out on it. Canucks, Red Wings, Philly are probably the three deepest, most talented team in the league. Coincidentally, they are also the 3 favorites to win the cup. Canucks probably have the deepest organizational depth at defense. Wings probably have deepest forward depth in the league and Philly probably has the deepest overall depth.
