Heaven forbid an owner stands up for his team. It was clear on the intentions of the Islanders, and Mario called them out on it. He'll get fined, but the whole fallacy of "But they have Matt Cooke and Cindy Crysby blah blah blah" doesn't pertain to Mario's argument or comments, so why even bring them up? Just because the Pens have Cooke, that doesn't mean Mario can't complain when a game turns into a goonfest. I think Mario was overly dramatic with the James Harrision "I'm out" comment, but it was good to see an owner stick up for his team.

A lot of questions are stupid, but their editors make them ask them, which is why you might hear the same question a dozen times. It's annoying but if you don't ask it, you don't write it. Pronger is a really funny guy and he's reallllly toned down his doucheness the past few seasons. he's one guy i use to hate, but wouldn't mind on the team because I think he's changed a lot the past few seasons.

It's not surprising. He can't join the rush as much as he use to be able to even strength, so the pluses are becoming harder for him to come by for him. Less chances for pluses combined with shakey all around team defense and goaltending will have that adverse effect on your plus minus.

It's his first season playing on a smaller rink and he's one of the griffins leading scorer, an AHL allstar, and a leader...but he's peaked? Glad you weren't in charge of Bertuzzi last year/this year, eaves, and Cleary. iFlip will be in the NHL next season, wether it's as our 13/14th forward or on some other team. He has a lot of hockey smarts and he plays an effective Wings style of hockey. And as was asked earlier, iFlip is only waiver exempt this season because it's his first season in North America.

I kind of remember some squabbling when Ryan crybaby Smythe was traded and everyone thought that he'd go right back at the start of FA. I Gnight I heard something about a one year wait or something to go back to a team when free agency is involved, but I don't think you can prove tampering when trading is involved.

Feels good to be one of the few to not have given up on The Todd. It'll also feel good when Kindl gets out of this rut. He played solid before this rut and he's shown that the coaching staff has faith in him to play him in a lot of situation tonight against one of Easts best teams.

I didnt mind the fights. I don't think anyone has a problem with the fights. Awesome seeing the islanders stand up for their team. Terrible seeing a lot of "codes" broken and seeing men being doing highly cowardly things to other men. That's not old tim hockey. This was nothing like the DMac and Claude incident. There was revenge and hate and DMac didn't try to Bertuzzi Claude. Claude even stated that during the brawl he was looking for DMac but DMac found him first and punched him square in the face, not from behind. Some of the suspensions were spot on, but I think we can all agree one or two of the guys should have had a lot more.

The people I see hustling all game (as of the last 3 or 4 games) are Datsyuk, Helm, Draper, Hudler (weird), and Filppula. The problem is our higher paid players are playing with little enthusiasm and little determination. I got blasted by a few people in the GDT of Franzen's five goal night by saying it was nice to see him try for once this season. It was an over exaggeration, but the guy floats 59 minutes a game. Zetterberg is invisible most the game and as much as we love our energy guys, they haven't been doing much lately either. I'm not even going to touch the D because it seems like our coaches are telling them to do new and different things every game. Our coaches are speaking Japanese and writing s*** right to left and down to up and no one is understanding what the funk is going on. They need to get on the same page and all speak Spanish!
