Hockey cities are doing well in the TV market, but teams in warm climate and non-traditional TV markets aren't seeing the bets of numbers? Shocked! Plus the statistic about Tamp Bay isn't that head scratching, in all my sports classes we learned how TERRIBLE Florida is as a sports state. Too many old retired people who don't care to watch or attend sporting events.

I wouldn't mind getting a defensive defensman who plays with some snarl, PKs the first unit and can eat up 10 minutes a night. They don't usually cost more than a 5th round draft pick. We have the 3rd highest scoring forward units, so they are fine. A back up goalie would be nice too, they wouldn't cost more than a 4th to 6th round pick.

That's partially true. The team who claimed him would have to put Emery back on waivers to send him down, he just wouldn't be waiver exempt if claime initially.

Negative. It was to his and our best interest to stay over there at least one more season. Same thing goes for Jarnkrok and Almqvist. Thy each might need at least two season more abroad. His skating isn't bad, it's just average. He's on par with Hudler and Leino right now in skating, he just looks awkward while skating.

So the season starts, and you're one week in and you sign someone, he should have to go through waivers? That's a terrible idea.

The only guys in the system are Smith. Other than that, we have Almqvist, who is still 2-4 years away from Grand Rapids. If/When Salei leaves next year Kindl will have a full time spot. We need Rafalski. and there's no way a 50+ point defensemen will get less than 3 mil.
