  1. It really doesn't matter if they say no a 100 times, it only takes them once to say yes.
  2. You remember wrong. His best month wasn't November, it was the 60 day month called Decemuary where he had roughly a .938 save percentage and a GAA of roughly 2.08. He then finished the month Febarchay with 4 regulation loses in 26 games. So yah, I remember what I want to remember.

  4. Do you remember why Ozzie only got one game? I'll give you a hint, it rhymes with "We were trying to make the playoffs and Howard was playing Vezina caliber goaltending."
  5. I feel as though you are stating your off base opinions as facts.
  6. Did some research and you are right.
  7. Fair enough. I know that once playoffs come around the cap hits are null and so is the roster size. i didn't know that the roster size was null after the trade deadline.
  8. Are you getting trade deadline and playoffs mixed up?

    Cool NHL player names

Ron Tugnutt Miroslav Satan Reijo Ruotsalainen Dustin ButtMuffin...errrr Byfuglien
  10. I brought that up in the early stages of all this. Nabokov is also a solid playoff starter. On historically strong offense/weak defense teams he has a .913% SV and 2.29 GAA in the playoffs which is better than what Jimmy gave us last year (I'm counting .913 and .915 as equal)
  11. Technically, trading Hudler doesn't free up 2.8 million, though. It'll free up somewhere around 1mil in cap space
  12. I think it means if team X claims him, he can say no thank you and goes back on the FA market and this whole things starts all over again. The NMC in his contract is the reason why I think he'll be a Wing, plus his agent's email also leads me to believe he's coming here. Then we have to hear from all the other teams that the Wings got a 40 win goalie for less than peanuts. Probably because they didn't have a NMC?

    2nd line center trade *idea*

Exactly. This team needs wingers, not centers.
  14. Cause you can say no up until the 11th hour and then say yes and all is forgotten.
  15. +1, I belted out quite the laugh when i read this.
  16. LTIR isn't banked. The Players on LTIR, their contracts are essential null and as if they aren't even on the team. Once they come off LTIR, their contract is back on as if the player wa son the team since day one. Which is why if you have a player making 2mil, and he is injured exactly half way through the season, we have 1 mil to work with. The player gets healthy, now we have to clear that 1mil to activate him to the roster. Because you aren't saving. It's like you're getting a credit card with a spending limit up to that players contract. That credit card has a 0% interest rate and needs to be paid off exactly the moment you want to activate your LTIR player.

  19. Nabby needs to go through waivers because he started the season abroad. If he was a free agent until this point, he wouldn't have to.

    Playing hockey

I'm guessing after one game you'll already be a better skater than Holmstrom, so that's one positive.

    "Everybody Hates Lebda"

But the real question is: Does Mironov like hot dogs?
  22. Two reasons why i think Nabby will be a Wing. 1) Nabby's agent has stated that he wants his client to battle for the starters job. If Nabby goes to a team where he'd be third string or outright second string, he probably won't report to training or the team. Now that team has a guy on their roster that will be taking up one of the spots and you can't get rid of him. 2) It's very stupid to burn bridges as a GM.

  24. You had me at Pretzel.
  25. Not true. You are going off the assumption that neither goalie 1 or 2 have minor league options left.
