Titanium, I have the same mixed bag of emotions like you. on the one hand, Koko IS a regular NHL player that is a legit #1PK guy and net front pressence, but on the other hand.....it's Koko. Forgot to mention, koko's biggest flaw was he was about as bad of a skater as Holmstrom and Aaron Downey, but Nestrasil is miles ahead at skating than either of those two. Nestrasil is shaping up to be a less streaky Franzen light.

SHEAHAN SHINES AS JUNIORS DOWN CIS TEAM IN EXHIBITION GAME
-
Agreed. With Sheahan being one of the best forward again tonight (1+2), there is no doubt in my mind he makes the team. He's dominating these kids his age and being allowed to play offense. Hopefully his coach at ND is taking note. I see him as 2nd line center and first PK unit at the WJC.

Haha I try!

Creed, even though he's creepy. kelly is that annoying sorority girl that just won't stfu. Better evil villain, Shredder or the Stay Puft
-
I dabble in it lol. TPBM use to watch "Are you afraid of the dark"
-
He's been selected to play for the Czech WJC team.

12/13 GDT: Kings, Lots (5) at Red Wings, None (0)

We faced a wall, that's bound to happen a bit. It IS the NHL. -
If he continues to impress, then he should nail down the 4th line a 1st PK spot. And then all of the doubters and haters will finally STFU.
-
I'd take him on re-entry waivers and trade Hudler for some picks.
-
Lidstrom poking fun at Homer was epic.
-
That's neat, I never knew that.
-
Damn, that's still like 30 games away.
-
Hudler is a great passer, he should play on the half boards of one of the PPs

Lidstrom > Bourque

Easy fix: "Brian, if you waive your NTC and supply us with a list of ten teams you'd approve a trade to, then we won't waive you and send you to the minors with a chance to being claimed by a non-playoff team. Also, Brian, if no one claims you you'll be sent to the minors and won't be in the NHL anymore." 1. He's from Michigan. 2. He's averaged 25 goals the past 10 seasons. 3. In 15 games he has 1 less goal than Hudler and Modano combined.

So you're admitting that the hit wasn't stupid? Wow...
-
Garlic bread. Yum. Electric toothbrush, or manual toothbrush?
-
Nope! TPBM has a fireplace in their home.
-
If that's the case, they should just trade him, plus a high draft pick (if they have any) to a team for a 3 or 2 star player to get that cap relief.

Shawn Matthias might have still been Red Wing property when he played a couple years ago?

That's sort of how MLB works. A player who is designated for assignment is immediately removed from the 40-man roster. Once a player is designated for assignment, the team has ten days to do one of the following things: the player can be traded, the player can be released, or the player can be put on waivers and, provided he clears, outrighted to the minors. A player who is outrighted to the minors is removed from the 40-man roster but is still paid according to the terms of his guaranteed contract. A player can only be outrighted once in his career without his consent. SO once a player is DFA, they are basically removed from the team, but can still play in the minors. Which is why, when a player is DFA, you usually see them released because they are still to be paid their contract amount if placed in the minors. Pretty sure it just means he get's his 5mil regardless, but he doesn't count against the cap at all.
