Agreed 100%. I think we are the best team in the league, but you just have to look at all the facts when looking at our current record. But then again, we've only played one game against the East, so we are guaranteed a couple freebie points from them

Bert has always hustled back. The Bert is a floater thing was a reputation thing and the sheep mentality caught on and it just became LGW nature to say he floats. Every game I watch he usually ends up real deep in the offensive zone and he's just slow so it takes a while to get back to help out, but he always tries his best to be on of the first forwards back. Plus it doesn't hurt when one of your fellow back checkers is Valtteri Filppula. When you're playing with vFlip, you automatically get +5 defensive awareness added to your abilities

This I know. But once the easy schedule the Wings have had catches up to them and they start playing a lot of their road games they haven't played yet, it's going to catch up to them. We've played the fewest amount of games on the road of any team. We are a great team, but it's no coincidence our record is so good and we have played well over the majority of our games at home. I'm not complaining, but it's reality. And finishing top 3 isn't shooting low, it means we won the most competitive division in the NHL were it looks like at least 4 out of the 5 teams will make the playoffs.

You'd always like to be at a 1 out of 4 on the PP instead of 1 out of 5 on the PP. We have three above average pointmen, it wouldn't shock me at all if we had another above average pintman that we would be top 5 in the league on the PP. I like our PK a lot, so no complaints there. We need two different looks on the PP. We're too one dimensional on the PP and after one or two it's easy for the opponents to see what we are attempting to do. If Ericsson learned that Weber/Souray killer instinct from the point, he'd make and excellent clap-bomber from the point (100+ MPH shot) and would give us two distinctly different looks on our two PP groups.

We've had a lot of home games, hopefully if we stay .500 in our away games and we should be top 3 in the West at season's end.

No wonder our players had nice games, those goalies are TERRIBLE. Pearce is about as garbage as garbage can be. There was on defense to be found in those highlights.

Just remember, after 4 or 5 years, there should still be a thing called LTIR relief and since he'll be older than 35 if he has an injury that forces him out of the league, his cap hit doesn't count against us. it's a win win for signing a 40 goal scorer at half the price of Kovy who can't play while under pressure.

About time Fraser drew something up. I'm so sick and tired of his approach with his team. He has Vets>skill, although he tried to implement a skill game, hopefully tonight he realizes he needs the skill guys to be on the top line and not the AHL scrubs.
