Not bad at all. Actually a decent cap hit. You'd think with an 11 year deal they could have worked out a better cap hit, but I bet both sides are ecstic. I'd still take Franzen at 4 than Carter at 5.25, but I have a feeling that's just me.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, I expect him to be a solid 4th line or third line guy who may develop a scoring touch like Franzen did.

Callahan will make the NHL. He has all the skillsets to be a solid 4th/3rd line player at the very least. Ferraro just needs a change of scenery, he too has all the skills to be a very very good player. Sheahan, because of all the post game reports that I read about him that continually rave about him and talking to players on his team. I included Jensen because a good offensive defenseman helps generate good offense. I didn't include Smith because EVERYONE knows he's going to be a stud. And never say never about HTD (HatTrick-Dick). Maybe he gets checked in the head and is instilled with some effort and a new attitude

Dastyuk is the best all-around player in the league. Ovechikin/Crosby are the most potent offensively. Who would you rather have? Filppula is the better all around player. Hudler is better offensively. Who would you rather have? Would you be happy if these players were on your team? Yes. I rest my case. Cleary. Is that even a joke? Cleary scores clutch goals. And I don't even like Cleary and it's obvious.

Good shot: Teemu, Nyquist, Tatar, Sheahan maybe possibilities: Iron Hook, Callahan, Ferraro, HTD, Mursak Long shots but could be: Nestrasil, Jensen.

They may have the most goals, but they are only a +5 differential. They score a lot, but they give up just about as many goals. Should be a high scoring game!
