Decent game so far. The Filppula line sure has looked like the number one line so far this season. The second Avs goal was unlucky all-around. Miss-communication at their blue line, a lightly tipped puck that Howard saves 80 out of a 100 times. Defense has been good minus when Kindl and Salei are out there defending our zone. Third period should be interesting. Are we gunna play to win or play not to lose.

Cleary is averaging the same points but being paid roughly the same, what are we paying him to do? Filppula is being paid to be a shut down center against the other teams top two lines on any given night while also contributing offensively and keeping the puck down in the opponents zone. Same here, I have him for roughly 15 goals and 40 assists while dominating defensively and staying out of the penalty box. Anything more would be great.

yes really. The lockout happened because owners wanted a cap and the players did not. That had NOTHING to do with Bettman. It wasn't until the inflator rule was finally agreed to by the owners that the CBA finally took shape. Bettman every year has activated that inflator btw.
