I'll pass I'd use the cap space from his contract and the 3 or so mil coming off the blocks to sign a top 2 D-man and two or possibly three scoring wingers instead of geting a top 4 d-man and a legit sniper. I don't mind the booing as long as they aren't the "You left us!!!" boos. If they are booing him because he sucked in the playoffs...then I'm ok with it. Howard may not be the third best US goalie in the NHL, but it's hard to argue he isn't the hottest out of the goalies mentioned. We all know how much a hot goalie can carry a team, unfortunately.
