Please don't use leet speak on this board. Also, if you use Firefox, it has built in spellcheckers for this kind of occasion.

Glad you guys caught it haha. That's what I was trying to play it of with!

Forgot to add: The Wings and Hawks WERE rivals in the 80s and mid 90s, when we played each other 5 times in the playoffs during a 10 year period. The Hawks won 3 of those while the Wings won twice. This is the reason why were are not a rival, at this moment, because since 94-95 season when the Wings beat the Hawks 4 games to 1, we played them only once...which was last year when we routed them 4-1.
-
I thought rivalries only happen when two teams play each other often in the playoffs and it's a coin flip on who will come out on top each time ala Avs vs. Wings the past decade. Now it's that way with DET v PIT and DET v ANA...not with DET v CHI

History 2008-09: His numbers with Shawinigan were not jaw-dropping,19 goals, 31 assists in 66 games. He won the hardest shot competition at the 2009 CHL Top Prospects Game with a blast clocked at 95.7 mph. Talent Analysis A mixture of physical presence and scoring skill, Paradis is an attractive prospect. He possesses a hard shot and has the ability to make room for himself and his teammates on the ice. Paradis isn't a player to back down from a challenge. Already an intriguing medley of grit and ability, if Paradis gets faster and stronger, he could become a dominant force in the QMJHL. per HFboards.

So kindl is oficially in btw: Kindl, 22, will make his NHL debut against the Edmonton Oilers. “Kindl’s a real good player, he moves the puck really well, we think he can bring us that,†Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. “He’ll play on our first power play tonight, because he has that kind of ability.†Link

Fair enough, I'll give you that one. I guess his reputation has proceeded him with me

A vicious cycle....

May will get the longest hug of his life tonight.

Damn you! I was going to say basically the same thing! At least I found another person who understands the meaning of words!

How did this get into a pissing match? Thanks NFM and the few other who stayed on topic. Like has been said: Good: A great core of players for the next bunch of years that will ensure regular season success and probably a couple division championships. Bad: You really need your depth guys and roll players for the playoffs and we have seen through the Sharks of what happens when you turn-over your roster on an annual basis. Ugly: The contracts of Hewitt And Soupy. No team will trade for those players and the only way to see those contracts even coming remotely off the books is through re-entry waivers or being bought out.

Same here my good friend. Soon as I saw the title I was hoping for the best. Scary things when your heart starts acting up and you have heart disease or some other heart problems.

Do you really think they'd bring Tatar up over McGrath or Emmerton or Williams or one of the vets? I mean i know he is the most likely to be a top six player instead of a grinder, but we do have some AHL vets that I would call up before Tatar. Even though, I'd rather see Tatar!
-
No I agree, and I know it was due to cap restraints. My point was that he needed to get acclimated to defense and NA hockey before he was hurried up to the Wings. You never mentioned Leino in your post I responded to, which mentioned Tatar and not Leino. Keep the Straw man to yourself. Personally, Leino just needs to practice stick handling in a phone booth like Datsyuk did as a tot and that Filppula has been doing recently to keep from getting skushed.

I actually laughed pretty hard at this GMR.

There should be a clause in the CBA stating your suspension starts once you're medically cleared to play. But oh well. Definately deserved a game or three, gladd the NHL had the balls to do it
-
Phew, i was about to rip up my fan card!

Kopecky is terrible, we kept him down as long as possible until he was no longer waiver exempt. Fischer spent 7 games in the AHL his first year and 18 his second season and played in over 100 NHL games his first two years as a pro and never played another game in the minors after that... Ericsson was a forward when we drafted him and he had to get acclimated to defense before he could ever play here. And he still shows rookie mistakes constantly on his positioning since he is so new at defense. If you want to watch Kindl and tatr...go to a Griffins game or watch them online. Everyone will tell you that kindl is NOT ready for the NHL, and Tatar needs to put on 10-25 pounds before he'll be ready for the NHL.
-
And all five of those guys are red Wing prospects. Unless Emmerton and Pyett weren't re-signed and the Griffins signed them then yah lost me Drake
-
I posted this in the Tatar thread, smart thinking to make a new thread for it! We need to get a couple of these guys in, it'll help their confidence soooo much!
-
Ahhh didn't see that, didn't see any title with may or prank in any titles. Titles should be more descriptive =)

Not too mention Kariya and Jokinen wouldn't come ot this team to get third lin minutes. So unless Lidstrom, Draper, maltby, and holmstrom all retire and either kronners or Raf or Stu are traded, there'd be no way we could afford that roster.
