Link "Just to be able to come home to Sweden and play in the same building that you used to play in and you'll have your family and most of your friends there. It's going to be an awesome feeling -- and something I never imagined would have ever happened." -- Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall

Holland can't force him to do anything. Plus

We take the players that everyone gives up on.

Nice reference! But to only include one premise to your conclusion, there are assumptions that need to be made as to why you think the award is dumb. You say you don't respect the award, but don't give a reason why. So one assumption is that you don't agree with hockey players that play within the rules and are non-aggressive. As invalid as that assumption may be, you did leave yourself open. Personally, I like the award, because i feel if your play is of high caliber, and you do so without taking many penalties, it shows a sense of personal responsibility that is not seen very often in this sport. Go Wings!

I don't see a problem if they do it for the opening shift.

I guess with Lilja on LTIR to start the season, Kindl has a legit shot of starting the season with Detroit? I mean, it's not that hard to beat out Lebda and Meech.
-
This really made me laugh for some reason. If you threw this, , in here at the very end I probably would have laughed really hard out loud.
-
Really all he has to do is outplay Meech and Lebda. That way, he gets spot duty during any defenseive injuries. Since he is waiver expempt he can get 1st line AHL minutes and the occasional 3-6 D-Man minutes depending on who is out for the Wings with an injury. If he outplays Meech and Lebda like he nearly did the other season it gives Holland even more of a boost to trade one of our spare parts to make room for Kindl for a call-up.

Detroit should take a chance on William Wallen in the next draft

NO I was being serial, got them on speakerphone -
I like that you're trying to use logic, but it fails. You cannot force someone to fight is a true statement, not false. You can, however, entice someone to defend themselves. D-mAc tried to force Claude to fight, but couldn't, all he did was force Claude to defend himself. Bertuzzi tried to force Moore to fight, but couldn't, instead he ended his career. Roy tried to force this goalie to fight, but instead forced him to defend himself. Also you make a very hypocritical statement. First you see nothing wrong with Roy did then you come back to say,"Sometimes, like in Johnny Roy v, noname goalie, one player wants a fight and the other refuses. I would have preferred that Roy merely taunted his opponent for being the only player on the ice at that time unwilling to have a little old fashioned fun." You say at one time that the goalie had it coming and is in the wrong for not wanting to fight when you, yourself, deduced that there was a more plausible alternative. "He fought a guy who didn't want to fight back - that's a clear instigator penalty. It is not cause for legal follow-up." Why? Just because you say A, it doesn't mean C, you need a B in there also. There have been numerous incidents where an on ice altercation has resulted in legla battles, therefore that is not a correct assessment. Just one more thing to add is when you say, "I would have preferred that Roy merely taunted his opponent for being the only player on the ice at that time unwilling to have a little old fashioned fun." How do you know that the other goalie was raised not to fight? Or plays the game of hockey because he merely enjoys the finesse parts of the game and not the physical aspects? If your parents raised to to respect other people and to never fight whats-so-ever, and you lived by this code for your whole life, would you let one douchebag destroy your philosophies, or would you not be able to be the bigger man and give in? I don't care what your stance is on this argument, but please be able to us points A and B to make C justifiable. I only did a couple of your points to show how invalid they are and don't have as much time to go through all your points to prove you wrong because I think you get my point here. Go Wings!!!!!!!

My bold predictions: ~ In every thread, someone on LGW will want Stuart to be traded and not know he has a NMC. - In every thread, Filppula's name will be brought to be traded for an enforcer. + A picture of the red wings wearing their training camp jerseys will be posted by a LGW asking why we changed our jersey style. * Rafalski will have another monster year and everyone will still want him traded. @ The Blackhawks will get made fun of in every thread. ^ Crosby will win either the Hart or Pearson and LGW fans will still say he sucks or is overrated. ! The first sign of a 2 or 3 game losing streak will result in the Panic Button being pushed. & After going down by two goals heading into the 2nd or 3rd periods the game will be over and the Wings are hacks in the minds of LGW nation `` WINGS WIN THE CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not if he has CHL rights. -

There are fight slap-happys and there are non-fight slap-happys. Debating one or the other is pointless because neither side will budge.
-
If Lilja plays then I pick him, otherwise I don't really see any of those guys getting more than 2 fighting majors.

All secondary assits

As long as he keeps an uber high plus minus I don't care what his point total is =) /derail

Helm with 14 goals and Big Rig with 22 points? Awesome!
