I think these are their current contracts and not re-signings because these contracts I have listed make zero sense unless they are just current contracts.

So like many of the level headed Wings fans, such as myself, have said the first day we signed him...HOSSA IS A RENTAL PLAYER. Don't expect anything more.
-
I'd still rather have a first and second than two seconds ot two seconds and two thirds. I know the picks are damn near the same, but there are a couple gems that could go between our original spot to the 32nd pick.

Same here. I wish we would have traded up to get Jordan Schroeder, though! -

We love trading our first round picks like McAdams loves Gosling. -
Rafalski, Stuart, Draper, Maltby, Holmstrom and Filppula
Konnan511 replied to FunkedUp's topic in General
Lol. I laugh when I see people say Filppula is easily replaceable. It seems some of you play NHL 09 too much. Hossa is not be re-signed unless it's for a 4mil or lower cap hit. Filppula is not being traded away. If you honestly think Kenny is going to trade away a guy who is a true playoff performer, then you need to turn in your hockey fan cards because you clearly do not know anything about hockey. Blunt, I know, but some of you have your heads so far up your bums it's ridiculous. This site is so full of monkey see monkey do it's not even funny. -

Holy steal by Ottawa Bat Man!

Damn, I used my one good post quota for the week and we have a game tomorrow!

Not really, Bertuzzi and Schnieder did the same thing to the Wings by signing with the Ducks in the offseason and I have no ill will towards them. With them gone it freed up space to sign better players and plan long term and I love when Schneider was here and I was a big fan of Big Bert as well. Next to Lidstrom, Schneider was the best PP D-Man we've had in quite some time. I was sad when he left but I didn't hold it against him that he signed with the team that eliminated us a month ago.

There is so much fail here. I wish you would have read the entire thread. Your quote said he would love to find a great team and stick with them. no where did he mention that great team was the Pens. Hossa stated a week and a half before free agency that he was going to test free agency. Shero knew. Hossa stated a week and a half before free agency that he was going to test free agency. Shero knew. Shero said himself that the offer on the table to Hossa wasn't set in stone because it was going to change with the other re-signings of their current players. So basically there was no offer from the Pens. There was an offer from Edmonton and Detroit, and he chose Detroit because he felt we were the better team. If you want to debate any of this then please use links and evidence, because all I did was state facts, I will not debate things that are not facts but meerly the opinions of a bitter Pens fan. Sorry. All my links are on page 2, read those articles before you debate any of this.

Well, the OP said in their prime, which is Fedorov and there is no justification otherwise. A five goal game, Hart trophey many other trophies during his prime, this guy was just plain sick in his prime.

Betts to Lidstrom to Zetterberg then to Hossa and then to Ozzie, or switch the last two. Win in game 6, I couldn't do a game 7, I would probably die.
-
In group hugs I meant more-so circle jerks that form after goals. Our boys just head butt each other and move on. But whenever Crosby or Malkin score they go crazy, which makes for much better photos.
-
Not really, we don't celebrate scoring goals I noticed this during this series, the Pens celebrate with a giant group huge and pony ride after each and every goal, while we do not.

This is what i want as my ringtone, two seconds leading up to the song being cut off all the way to when they finish

PS 2009 Stanley Cup Final Photoshop War: Pittsburgh Penguins
Konnan511 replied to Matt's topic in Hall of Fame
Personally, i enjoyed Carma much much more, gave it personality. And also: At its core, Carbon Monitoring for Action (CARMA) is a massive database containing information on the carbon emissions of over 50,000 power plants and 4,000 power companies worldwide. Power generation accounts for 40% of all carbon emissions in the United States and about one-quarter of global emissions. CARMA is the first global inventory of a major, emissions-producing sector of the economy. So I can see all the damn carbon emissions emitting from Malkin due to the power of the thousand burning suns of hatred he has brewing in him due to Franzen. CARMA. It fits.- 740 replies

They also had a shot at : Demitra Bertuzzi Nolan Naslund Huselius Avery And not too mention with the cap hit gone of Hossa they were able to sign Satan and Fedotenko
-
A hyes, because other players who are centers don't play wing either right
-
I'm confused then by this: The only decision he made was to not re-sign and to sign the day after free agency started.
-
Eh, the Pens should have done what Holland was going to do if we didn't get Hossa, and that would be to sign Sundin.
-
I see you went with the bare minimum of players and a very nice low cap hit to hossa to boot, how generous of him . And don't forget, even if Draper retires his cap hit still counts against us.
-
Basically what has been said from the moment we signed him lol, well, at least by the people who understand the cap and the long-term ramifications of re-signing Hossa to anything over 3MM cap hit
