Those who criticized him before were wrong. He did awesome in the regualr season. He had top 3 ES points on the team in the regular season. Just imagine if he got the PP time like Hudler did, he'd be around 60-70 points. All of this while playing amazing defense. He did NOT disappoint before, the people who ripped on him were wrong before. And now, there are still posters who wouldn't mind him traded. 6 game point streak and is tied for third in points among Wings and tied for third in +/- on the Wings. Also with the most Assists for the Wings and only 3 back of the Postseason leader in that regard as well. Boy has skills.

Fair enough. I was just pointing out you don't trade someone who has a history of showing up in the playoffs and performing exceptionally well for a player who is suppose to be arental and will hinder our ability to re-sign vital players in the furtue and keep the depth of the team..

Why would you want to get rid of one of the guys that has helped carry the Wings offensively and with the best +/-? Also, why would you want to trade our number 2 D-Man as well, that makes no sense, D-Men are always more important than a forward. I would rather lose Maltby and Draper to retirement and Koko and Sammy to FA than get rid of either one of those guys you mentioned. Who would be our number 2 D-man if we got rid of Rafalski? Kronners, no. Stuart, no, Big Rig, no. Lebda, no. Chelios, no. Kindl, no. Lilja, no. We need a legit number 2 D-man.

The VS announcers last night were going crazy for Helm after that PK shift and during the whole game they kept talking about him.

Well, on VS the announcers talked that Datsyuk did skate twice yesterday in preperation for the game, so I beleive he'll be 100% for game 1. As for Lidstrom, i dunno about him and his undisclosed lower body injury. We all know how long it took Raf to get back from his undisclosed injury.

Zata has netted a lot of EN goals this postseason and hasn't really done much outside of offense on the PP. He has played Smyth worthy defense of course though! But just like Pre-Flip line Hossa and Datsyuk, they have been focusing on shutting down the other lines and letting our secondary and tertiary scoring do their thing while our top guns shut down the other team's offensive players.

Well just think about it from a coaches point of view. Babcock knows that his team can pull out a victory in any game and after a loss will mince no words if his tam got outplayed because his team his full of veterans that can take it and it also seems to fire up the Wings when/if the Coach calls them out On the Flip Side, Blue Jackets are a young team so their coach doesn't want to get their moral down too low going into next season. Same goes for the Hawks, you have to coddle them and be very smart with what you say as to not disrupt the locker room.

Well, when your Number 1 D-Man and number 1 forward are out, and the other team is healthy, and on top of that they have Crosby Malkin firing on all cylinders, I wouldn't fault anyone counting the Wings out.
