As long as Bettman is at the helm the NHL will keep seeing the largest profits it has ever seen in its history.

Look at the reaction Don Cherry gets when he talks about how much he loves pancakes.

I'm so glad that the NHL and NHLPA agreed to impose a salary cap to increase parody in the league. Good thing we'll never see a cup rematch like we did in the 80's because of the parody of the league.

Some basic finance right here, only three chapters in but I am stumped. Any brianiacs that can solve this for me: Company A had a COGS (Cost of goods sold) of $21,587 and an A/P (Accounts Payable) balance of $5,832. How long on average did it take the company to pay off its suppliers during the year?

Thanks, was it like Big Rigs goal that seem to have just floated in?

Working on Some Finance h/w, what was it like?

1-0 Tigers in the first already =)

I don't think so, no way ozzie would be able to hold off Crosby and Malkin.
-
Jokinen = Fail on that one. Luckily Staal didn't get there before Orpik

I have a feeling this run and gun approach by the Canes isn't going to bode well for them once Pitts makes an adjustment.
-
Anyone else going to be flipping between this and the Tigers. Tiger's Offense vs Zach "Offense Killer" Greinke.

I dunno bout' that. I love Big Rig, but we sure could use Lilja's PKing and shot blocking and his solid positioning against the Pens if/when we make it that far.

If the Canes sweep us in the finals becaus eof this thread, i will forever hold a grudge against this site

Sammy's salary and his production is up there with Hudler and Ozzie. Sammy plays outstanding defense and does put up points while having a meager contract. Hudler is a vital clog to a lethal Powerplay and his production with limited ice time is insane, and again, he has a very small contract. The last one is Ozzie, who cares about the past because we are talking about this year, and this year, with the massive amount of quality shots he sees a game (remember, not all shots are created equal) he has been outstanding. Best GAA and S% of the remaining goalies and out of all the goalies he is top 2 in all goalie statistics for the playoffs. Any one of these three would get my vote for most underpaid for what they do on the ice. Disclaimer: High and Wide Logo Hunter is my least favorite Wing, but he does deserve props for his production less salary. Edit: (Tori) Spelling

I've noticed that as well, if a puck is coming to him and he is being hard pressed he usually makes a mistake with the puck and he REALLY needs to start hitting players and he REALLY needs to work on his positioning when fast players are coming down on him one-on-one. Other than that, he has a really nice outlet pass and he does well to keep possession of the puck when he carries it into the O-Zone. Once his wrist heals I wouldn't be surprised with him putting up 10-20 goals a year with his 100+ MPH shot.

Sorry i stopped reading here after I saw how long your post was. I skimmed down to this because it's the part I mostly cared about and since your list is about the same as mine I didn't feel the need to go back and read what you posted, because, I probably would have agreed with what you said! PS. Don't feel bad about writing a long well thought out post, it's better than if your opening post would have been:

My brain...it hurts...

We all love the Mule, but he is a sniper in a power forwards body, the dude is soft, but damn does he have great hands and a nasty shot.
-
 My vote would go to Filppula as he has been the playmaker for the Wings this post season and the guy who makes the plays should win the Smythe HM: AppleFritters and Conkblock

I tried...very very hard. Thanks for reiterating.
