This isn't necessarily pointed at you, but it is also. I do not see any bashing of Hossa in this post, the post by the OP. I see an assertion that I think everyone will agree with. He was -1 last night. We need him to be an even +/- each game. He needs to step up his game just like ever Wing should as well so we don't become complacent.

Same here. Reminds me of the good days. Days like yesterday

I know RWGoddess, she always has playoff tickets.

4 points in 4 games against the CBJs while being a plus 2. What's not to like about that? Game one against the Ducks he was a -1, definately needs to step it up these next few games. Everyone needs to lay off the OP. Hossa has been by far well above average these playoffs, but he does need to step up his play this round as well as the next two rounds And it's not just Hossa who needs to step up, all the Wings do, I want to thoroughly embarrass these ducks and their fans....except Duck guy

He's been on th team for a while now, and is signed for a long time, you should at least know how to spell his last name by now. Anything else you feel a need to complain about?

#51 is the man when it comes to playoffs. And remember boys and girls, it's Filppula, not Filpulla.

Phoenix Coyotes -- Worst organization in sports
Konnan511 replied to RedLightGoesOn's topic in General
It doesn't have anything to do with reducing the seats. The stadium is one of the reasons why up until last season nearly every single home game was sold out. Plus, it isn't hard to sell out for a sporting event when it is a) football and b) you only have to market around 8 home games only. -
Phoenix Coyotes -- Worst organization in sports

I love the Cubbies, but they did suck for a long time. Just because you have a dedicated fanbase doesn't mean your organization doesn't suck. -
ESPN's Buccigross Det Ana Series Prediction

I trust Burnside more than Buccigross -
Who are Reds? Cincinnati Reds? I'm confused by the title.

This one has to be hands down Crosby. With the leadership he would have walked in to, I am 100% sure his demeanor on the ice would be completely different than it is now. I love Ovechkin, like Malkin, and can't stand Crosby; but when we talk about a Red Wing type of player it really is Crosby. Crosby and Malkin are two of the three that plays a smart puck possesion game and Crosby is the only one cabable of winning a Selke of the three. Wings take on players who are unselfish players and play a strong defensive game, the only one who fits that bill is Crosby.

I really want to see a Helm-Leino fourth line, but I know to see that we'd either have to have lost a game or two or that the Griffs are out of the playoffs. Helm has been fantastic thus far, aside from game 4 where most of the Wings looked lost.
-
Remember though, it is not his call who comes up or gets sent down, he's only able to work with the players that Kenny gives him. So if and when the Wings lose a game or two, maybe then Holland will call up Leino, or if and when the Griffins get knocked out of the playoffs is when we'll see Leino.

Anyone in the CMU area I have my surround sound and HD projector up and running for the playoffs!

No it's true, that series went downhill fast. Facebook keeps talling me I should be a fan of the Montreal Canadiens.....

Haha. I got a good chuckle out of this. I'm still waiting for Pahlson to get some recog for his play. Datsyuk in a landslide. Just remember, Datsyuk knows where you're going with the puck before you do.

Really, ***? Come on, how old are we? And for anyone that thinks Big Rig is going to fight Pronger, sorry to say, but it won't happen. Only reason Big Rig fought last time was because he already had punches thrown at him. Big Rig will delivery some nasty crease clearing checks after the whistle, but he won't be fighting anyone unless they are the aggressor. PS. Please don't bring up any fights that happened in the AHL, the NHL is a much different beast.

He almost died from getting his knee blown out? We're not talking about the slapshot.

Not everyone who has their number retired left the team in good terms whether it was by them retiring, being traded, or signing with a different team. Character has nothing to do with getting your number retired by the Wings, it is what you did for the organization, which is why Fedorov will get his number retired by the Wings.

Do you remember the QB a few decades ago that got half the skin on his face ripped off and instead of coming out of the game he just caked dirt and mud on it to stop the bleeding so he could continue to play.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=420354 Seems I was right. He is suspended 5 games for his hit and one game for initiating contact during the pre-game skate for a total of six games.
-
He broke the dude's orbital bone with the blatent hit to the face...You don't see anything wrong with that? Bwahahaha, perfect! Well played...well played....

I am 99% positive that the names are mixed up. I'm HIV positive that it was Shaone Morrison that bit Dubinsky, not Green.

Here's my Downey story: The one Griffins game I went to was with a bunch of my fraternity brothers because we are all avid Red Wing fans . It was during the pre-game skates and one of my brothers decided he would try to get a signed puck by Downey so between one of the stantions on the bench he was relentlessly yelling at, I think the trainer, to see if he could get a puck from Downey. After about ten minutes of just obnoxious yelling the trainer finally agreed and called Downey over just to hand him a puck. As Downey went to go hand the puck to him he took off like a bat out of hell towards the Griffin's end of the ice. Downey must have saw all of together, because we all had our letters on and went full board into the boards with his body. So as a bunch of my brothers exchange body blows into the boards with Downey for a good 20-30 seconds, the security staff came and told us to stop immediately. After the game, which we had won via shootout, before leaving the ice Downey, who still had that puck on the bench, tossed it over the glass to us, and the best part of it, it was signed by him! I love Downey as a person, and I hope him well. I'm not going to say anymore after that though!

Thanks for the vid NFM. That was ruthless. Definately deserves at least 5 games for that. I wouldn't be surprised if he got more than that. That's intent to injure and he successfully accomplished that as well.
