Knew the first part, not so much the second part, that sucks. One of my good friends my junior of highschool, his senior, led Michigan highschool players in assists his senior year and he only had one eye; I still have faith in Cleary!

Anyone else see that intro video for the teams and when Kenny's voice overlay said how skilled campbell was it showed a video of him spinning, taking a horrible angle shot, then slidding into the end boards ahrd...made me chuckle

If they don't institute a no shot blocking rule, and the league does decrease goalie pad size, you're going to see even more pucks being blocked by bodies. Maybe you are right, if the league gets rid of shot blocking by laying down, and goalie pads shrink, those low line drive shots will be 400x more effective than they are now.

I am one of the bigger Maltby haters on this board, but his play in my eyes keep him playing. Why do people defend Kope? I have seen him get hit more than he has hit, he does NOTHING out there, he is a PYLON. He may check one person a game, maybe, but it still doesn't take away that he sucks defensively and always has his head down. Get Helm to take his spot, or McCarty, or even Downey. Maltby has been solid this season, and deserves to keep his spot.

I think some of you guys are misinterpreting what having both the skates off the ice means. I interpret it as this way: Non-Penalty: Going to one knee, standing like a pylon Penalty: Laying down I think their wording did make it confusing, but I think they are just trying to eliminate people sliding down to the ice on their stomach or side to take a shot either in the back, ribs, chest, face. That medical one should be a no-brainer and should have been done a while ago.
