Yah, i would bet that D-Mac stays on the Wings once he clears waivers to be that 13th press box forward. Then once Zata is able to play Helm will probably be sent down to the Griffins with D-Mac being and insurance policy to be sent down if needed.

Eva, I hardly ever agree with you, but you saved me a lot of typing. It seems when someone hear something that isn't true about a player, it sticks. Then they pass it on to another person and they pass it on to another and so on. For someone so "lazy" and "un-passionate", he won multiple Selkes and accepted so much less money when he could have been making twice as much at times. I still don't get how just about everyone lets Shanny off the hook for the way he left, when they continue to berate Fedorov. He, like every single "expert" in the hockey world, thought the Wings were going to be awful and possibly miss the playoffs, so he said "I'm going to give the reigns over to the young guys and move on". Yet just about everyone applauds him for his selflessness.

No we don't need a third jersey. For the love of God, why do people want black on our jersey? The Wings aren't in middle school or high school, no black, just Red and White. Why do people think that jersey is classic? They had it for all of one season. Crappy design back then is still a crappy design now.

Why do a lot of people think Shanny should have consideration of having his number retired by the Wings? I LOVED Shanny when he was here, I even named my cat after him, but there is no way he deserves to have his number retired here. He was here for 10 years. Put up 80 points only twice, his most productive years were in St. Louis. Yah he won 3 cups here but other players have won more cups on this Wing roster. Personally, they way he left was a cop-out in my opinion. He thought the team was going to suck just as every "expert" thought the team was going to do and he left for "greener pastures". Saying, "I'm going to let the younger guys take over" was a cop-out. Like I said, I love Shanny, but we shouldn't let personal opinions on the type of person you think they are cloud your judgment. Fedorov should have his number retired because he was the best player on the Wings during those cup runs, he wasn't the best leader, but he was the best player on those team. An over the hill Hull, Robitaille and Hasek weren't as good as he was when they were on the team.
