If you could care less about Salei and Ericsson, does that mean you like them a lot or just a little? Because honestly, I couldn't care less about those two.

Kopecky played nearly 30% of his ES time with Hossa and Sharp or Toews. How are Hossa and Sharp/Toews anywhere comparable to Bertuzzi and Franzne/Hudler where Filppula played 43% of his ES time with? Kopecky had the much much much better line-mates.

Lets think COMPLETELY outside of the box for one minute...

I'm not taking this seriously and then BAM, I read that last line and am really not taking this seriously. Holland already offered him more than 2mil+. -
We wouldn't give up anything, his cap hit would be 1.5mil for this upcoming season. If they are able to buy him out, he wouldn't be on their team any longer and there would be no need to re-entry waive him. If they waive him and no one bites then they either buy him out, which it sounds like they can't do, or they can put him on re-entry waivers and see if anyone will bite on him then.

Ehrhoff's rights traded to NYI, then traded to Buffalo
Konnan511 replied to Travis's topic in General
Sedins were a combined -20... A lot of those minuses were from s***ty goaltending by Luongo. Erhoff was a +19 in the regular season. And a career +74 player in the regular season and a career +1 in the playoffs. I'd take Ehrhoff for 5.5mil a season since he has a track record of being very healthy, but I'd rather have Wiz at 5mil. -
I thought the thread was Hudler pulled out of Phoenix. This thread makes as little sense as that would have as well.

That's what she said.

I wasn't able to pick between Miller and Eaves. They're damn near identical. Eaves is slightly better at offense while Miller is better at defense. Both are highly replaceable (Miller is the better shot blocker, Eaves has the better shot) and I couldn't care less which one is re-signed as long as it means Mursak has a full time role next season.

LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!
-
I'd take him on re-entry waivers.

Gah... I'm ashamed to say I read that full speed with no problems. I still see you are finding ways of squeezing Hudler into ever post

You have to imagine, this might have been the last season the cap rises, you can't assume the cap will continue to rise. But if Bettman keeps on doing a great job, then i suppose anything is possible.

Logically, if they had offered a contract, it would have been at least 5% more than their previous ELC. Sensibly it wouldn't make sense to not offer a slightly higher contract to a skillful RFA. So it seems these teams just want nothing to do with these players, hence them not negotiating contracts with them. Holland said the top 9 is good. Babcock stated he wants another top is forward to play with. If our only argument for a top six forward is because the head coach said he wants another one, then you should take a class in head coaching 101. You'll learn that you're a happier coach when you have more weapons at your disposal, whether you need them or not.
-
Technically no, but logically yes.
-
We need a top six scorer as much as we need a bottom six player. In reality, we don't need any forwards. I'd take Chris Stewart, though.
-
4.5mil...for Brooks Laich?
-
That's obviously not true, or else they'd have qualifying offers.
-
I dunno, Franzen was traded up to Datsyuk's wing and he didn't do jack s*** the second half of the season

So how dot he playoffs work? Top two from each division get in then the next 8 closest? Or just the top 2 from each division?
-
Probably not seeing how TB would receive 4 Toronto first rounders. Those would be lottery picks every season. I'd let Stamkos go for 4 lottery picks.

All this fuss over brent Burns huh. The guy is severely over-rated. He entered the league on some pretty good Wild teams and then the past 3 season has continually been average with one of the worst +/-s of all the defensemen on the team while being extremely injury prone. Hell, nick Schultz is 3 years older and I'd take him over Burns any day of the week. Wings wouldn't have been able to offer the Wild anything substantial. The Sharks had to dramatically overpay for Burns, something that Holland just doesn't do. To get Burns it would have cost the Wings, Smith, Filppula a first and probably Helm. Would you make that deal for Burns? I sure as hell wouldn't.

So one missed capitalization and a misspelling leads to you being a prick? He used perfect punctuation, aside from using the wrong "its", on a hockey message board and all you can do is be an ass? Seriously? I've seen way worse stuff on her in terms of grammar and no one points it out. If I see someone butchering there, their, and they're I'll usually reply with a witty comment using all the words correctly, not go ad hominem on them.

I enjoyed reading this thread, lots of babies in here. I think the Tigers would be a WS team if they got a 4th starter who didn't fall apart in the 5th like our 4th and 5th starters do. Other than that, i have no complaints about this team other than never starting Ryan Rayburn or brandon Inge.
