Sad Hossa is sad

Color me shocked. Good, I didn't want him here, Wiz is the better player. It's amazing how much having a good goalie will make you look better than what you really are.

This should get people excited about Sproul:

More on Jurco from his coach: He also had 5 points in the 4 memorial cup games. Those "lazy/floating" rumors are just that, rumors. He was bumped fromt he first line to the second line during the season in light of two other first rounder on his team and was also moved to the second PP unit as well. More on Tvrdon:
-
Agreed, they'd put up sexy numbers, be fighting a lot, and delivering youtube worthy hits, but since LGW doesn't see that, they are going to be labeled busts.
-
Not joking at all, he could jump in right now in a top 4 role and not look out of place on a championship caliber team. He might be over here for the 2012-2013 season, that's how good he is. Read up on him, I think you'll like what you read. He's also slated to be the captain of the Russian WJHC in December. How many 7th rounders are captains of their WJHC? And no, Italy or Japan don't count lol. And he doesn't have "plenty of question makrs", he only has one. The only reason he was passed over his initial year was because he had mono and a spleen disease that was misdiagnosed as a heart defect, but that has since been rectified and the reason he went so late in this draft was because he stated he'd rather stay in Russia and help the game grow there. I promise you, the first couple Russian that went are better than half of the 1st round player that were drafted. Russians just have that stigma, right or wrong, that they are either lazy or don't have a willingness to move. Plus...he's right handed

Contrary to your belief, roughly 90% of the gays I know are bisexual and choose to be with either female or male at a time. You do know most gays are bisexual right? I know they don't have the choice of not liking the same sex, but they are able to make the choice of who they date most of the time. Plus, look up the term "ex-***", you'll be surprised to know that many gays do indeed convert themselves away from homosexuality. And just for the record, because I know I'm coming off as a homo hater, I'm actually pro-*** marriage and my two best friend are *** and I actually know what the hell I am talking about lol. You completely missed the point anyways and I'd argue your faith is not a choice. Many Christians and Buddhists claim that God came to them one day and that was the day they began professing their love and devotion to them, so contrary to your beliefs, religion is not a choice. See how easy it is? But back on topic. I'm excited with 6 of our 9 picks and I'm sincerely glad Holland is our GM and not some of you idiots that cursed him for trading the first round draft pick at the time he traded it. Well yah, all Christians will say God is their number one priority. If his wife was drowning, he wouldn't ask for a sign from God to see if he should save her, he'd just do it. My fraternity has the motto it's (God, Family, School, Sigma Chi) in that order but you better beielve your ass I work hardest on school work. Just because something is your number one priority, it doesn't mean it's the reason you do certain things. E.g. I bet his faith is the reason he wasn't a cheap player or didn't get in trouble off the ice, but I bet his faith had nothing to do with where he played hockey or the salary he asked for when he played. Just like I'm willing to bet the decision he retired was due to his health and not his faith seeing how he only had ONE knee.

I hope in the next generation of LGW'rs they are making these list and Pulkkinen and Marchenko and Tvrdon are on the list My top 10: 1.) The entire 1988 draft 2.) Kory Kocur 3.) Curtis Bowen 4.) Jamie Pushor 5.) Jesse Wallin 6.) Yan Golubovsky (would be higher but he got us Igor) 7.) Yves Racine 8.) Maxim Kuznetsov 9.) Thomas McCollum 10.) Yves Courteau/ Igor Grigorenko (injuries to both)

Agreed. Where did this kid try to convert you? If saying, "I love my faith, but I won't judge you for actions that I perceive as wrong, we are brothers on and off the ice", is preaching, then you'd hate Rafalski and Datsyuk and Doan and Sakic and Toews and Cam Ward and all the Staals and etc. I dare you to tell Stu Grimson to f*** off for being religious, I'm sure he's been interviewed a few times about his faith during his playing days and said things along the same lines as this kid.

At least it's one of the better hockey colleges. I just hope the NCAA doesn't take away his hitting like it did Sheahan.
-
I can't believe how no one is talking about Ouellet. You'll see him be top 5 in defensemen scoring next season easily in the CHL.
-
Do you think RNH is coming out of the CHL this season? i think he'll spend another season in the CHL to bulk up.

Highway robbery by Edmonton, too bad they'll still be in the lottery next season.

Let's just hope he doesn't go Russian in to free agency, though.

A correct comparision in your mind. I compared the life preferences of being a homosexual and being religious. I didn't make any statments about if each said person vocalized their preferences. I just said, that it shouldn't matter if a person is *** or religious as long as they are good people and in this case, good athletes. Then the labels of "well, so and so did this, so it'd be correct if *** man did this". No, that's not what I said. You can't turn something someone says and warp it to what you want to say, that's not how it works. I don't care if a person is Kandorian or if a person has three legs, as long as they are good people and in this case a good athlete, it shouldn't matter. Do those extremes help you understand better?
-
Exactly. That first round trade for the two second rounders was monumental. We drafted unarguably the best defender in the draft in the 7th round and got arguably the best offensive defensemen with one of those 2nd rounders. On top of that, we got an uber light Derian Hatcher and a guy who is bigger than Datsyuk, but pattens his game after him. Last year we got the best young gun in the SML and one of the best Swedish young guns in the SEL, size be damned. This season we got bigger, meaner, and Czechoslovakianer,
-
My comparison is sound and valid. You took it out of context and added labels to it.

LGW in 1989: GMR: "Bunch of soft Euros. Thank God we drafted Bob Boughner this year and Marc Potvin a couple years ago. Guys are going to be studs. Those Euros will never be anything when they have someone like Boughner punching them in their face every game."
-
This is full of lies. Anyone who has ever met Rafalski knew he was religious. He wore a cross around his neck everywhere he went. Not to mention, in any interview they had with him in regards to breasts cancer awareness or the natural disasters he always spoke of God coming to their rescue. And the kid didn't use the draft to profess his love for jesus, he was asked a question about his tie. Tim Tebow had a different bible verse on his eye black every game and look how he turned out. People need to stop being so discriminatory. It seems it's ok with people that a person is ***, but if a person is religious, it's a bad thing. If they are good people and good athletes, who gives a flying f***?
-
Exactly, i've never heard a bad thing about him, except from opposing goalies. As soon as he found out he was drafted by the Wings he immediately went to the media to gush about Zetterberg and Datsyuk and said it's been a lifelong dream to play with Datsyuk some day... Doesn't sound like a cocky douchebag... Plus, i highly doubt TSN would ever use the phrase "cocky douchebag". And that team would skate circles around last years team...your point?
