Well obviously the defensive situation will need to be fixed, but they didn't trade away any defensemen. They can find a top 4 DMan with their pick in the upcoming draft, and they can get a DMan or two through free agency in the upcoming years. Bryz and Briere should still be highly effective players at those ages, and even Pronger can be highly effective in his early 40s as well. They seem more than fine.

I have the same sentiments. They took a step back this coming season, but in two or three season from now they are strong.

Well, the West got better and Philly didn't get a whole lot worse. All the teams involved seemed to have received good deals. The Flyers GM really did get some great value for their players, he has to be happy with all things considered.

I'd be confused as to what the voters were looking at. Chara had NO business even being voted top 3, same goes for Weber. If Lidstrom doesn't win, it'd be a crying shame. +/- doesn't matter when you had a goalie who was 30th in every statistical category, save for wins.

As long as Vandermeer doesn't play like he did last season, but instead plays like he did in Phoenix or Calgary, I'd be all for it. Pass on Strudwick, though.

Just imagine what Derek Roy could have done with the amount of Ice Time Hudler had! He played 300 less minutes and only finished two points behind him! Hemsky or Bouchard or Malone would have loved to have Hudlers ice time, they were all above Hudler .5 PPG. Imagine what Crosby could have done with how much ice time Hudler had as well! OMG, think of all the prorated possibilities!

I couldn't care less about a third string goalie or a 5th/6th DMan when there are better cheaper options out there. JMaccc, while I'd like him back, it's good to see him move on and hopefully find a team to start 20 games for. Salei gave us exactly what we asked for while being one of our best defenders in the playoffs. Thanks for being team players and good luck moving on fellows.

He's going to make a line thread after every rumor and after the draft, and before the draft. After every signing, before training camp, during training camp, after training camp. Pre season, pre-pre season, 1st game of the season, 2nd game of the season, after the first win, after the first loss, after the first SOL, OTL, SOW. After every injury, call-up, demotion. After every new coach signing as well. Then three or four "just for kicks and giggles".
