I'm guessing being condescending is one of those treatments?
-
There were 31 players who filed for arbitration last year: 26 signed before their Arb. Date 2 were awarded arbs that the team accepted (Wheeler, Kennedy) 2 teams walked away from the arbs value (Niemi, MacArthur) 1 player was signed prior to the arbs meeting, then immediately traded (Wisniewski)

Sorry, i went Chinese and read right to left and only got to here.
-
Hey now, "re-sign" and "resign" are almost as opposite as you can get.
-
I disagree with most of that first paragraph, most of the second and most of the third.
-
The numbers will never match, it's up to the team to decide if the numbers are closer to their side or Webers/Parise's side and whether or not they want to pay them that much. In Weber's case, if he does go to Arb, Nashville will accept any ruling. Chicago laughs in your general direction...oh...wait... no they don't, they lost in the first round...

That's what Paise and his camp are going to argue while the Devil's camp is going to argue 3.5-4.5 and the final number will settle somewhere between those.

Someone say core?

If Bieska resigns with Vancouver, then why can't the Wings get him? Too big of a payday on the FA market?
-
Switch Emmerton with Mursak and change that 2nd to a first and that "might" entice their GM to not hang the phone up on you. Did you see at all what teams were getting at the trade deadline for crappy players?
-
And I clearly stated why they were exposed to waivers two or more times in my previous posts.

Sounds exactly what Hossa said before he bolted. No player will ever say, "I'm a primmadonna and don't want to play here anymore"
-
Neither Brent Burns or Cal Clutterbuck will be a WIng any time soon. Both are tremendous young players who would command far too much in a trade that every team could match or beat.

How do you figure? They give you the same offensive and defensive production. Or are you saying they are upgrades because they are substantially younger? The only upgrade would be Eaves. Draper and Miller have an extremely similar point per game pace, while Draper has been finishing with the higher +/- and still has one of the top 3 wheels on the team. As I said, If we kept just one of the 3 I wouldn't care and I really have no preference. Miller is from MSU, Draper has the speed and faceoff ability and Eaves has the best shot. They all have assets and they are all 4th/3rd line tweeners.

I still don't see why he couldn't win one. Obviously he won't win one in the next five years, but after that, he has a chance.

Nope. If you start the season not in a north american league, then you have to pass through waivers to sign as a UFA. The only hockey Forsberg played this season was for the Avs, he didn't suit up for any teams other than them this past season. Khabi and Wellwood both started the season in the KHL, not the NHL. They needed to clear waivers to play.

That's a dirty line-up. Each line is defensively responsible and each line only has one floater on it!

Didn't Filppula dump his agent when his agent couldn't work out a deal prior to Filppula doing this same arbitration dealio.

You're a Toronto Star *****. 3 good Samaritans against an angry mob. As stated, and I know it's "so American of me", but I never go anywhere without a CCW for such instances. Albeit, I'd only ahve it unconcealed if it were my car being victimized.

Honestly, I want the BPA and I don't really care about his handedness. Yes it's helpful on the PP, but if you're smart, then it doesn't matter what hand your are and where you are on the ice. I would love Hejda as the 5th DMan if he'd sign for his current 2mil or under.

100 million households get ESPN in the US and 85 million get VS (with that number growing exponentially every quarter) and that is going to increase even more now that NBC is directly affiliated with them and more people get a NBC package than they do a sports package. PS, I gave you a +1 for not including Hudler.

One down year for Franzen and everyone wants him gone now eh.
