I'd take the World games with a bunch of salt. I think I was able to name 2 or 3 guys on the US roster and maybe 5 or 6 on Canada.

Last year he took 18 minor penalties... I fail to see anything wrong with that... Which was less than Ericsson and Salei. Equal to or one off from Kindl and Kronwall. 3 more than Stuart. He takes one penalty every 4th game, sounds good to me.

As was pointed out, starting with most recent season, these are his PIMS totals. 38 56 16 14 103 39 36 GP 329 PIM 302 (with 103 of those coming in 68 games) James Wisniewski doesn't take that many penalties. 16 FMs, or 80PIMs are from fighting as well.

Agreed 100%. +1. Game 7 isn't going to come down to Boston or Luongo, it's going to come down to whether or not the defense infront of Luongo shows up and whether or not the Sedins don't actually suck donkey balls.

Datsyuk was also -2 in his last three games. Context, and you missed it. Plus, pulling up the last 8 or 9 games of the season is a terrible barometer of someones season for the WIngs seeing as how they were scuffling, hence using the final 40 games of Kindl's season. And yes, +/- does prove things, it's a useful stat. It's not the end all be all stat that some think of it as or the complete worthless stat that other people think it is.

Kindl was -8 in his first 8 NHL games. In his next 40 he was +2. I'm confident Kindl is ready for the NHL.

This is just wrong. Babcock has a certain way he likes to coach and he's going to want guys with the same philosophies as him.
