Marchand is a boss.

I disagree. All the games have been highly entertaining for me. The ones in Vancouver were close and exciting and the ones in Boston made my heart warm just watching LeBrongo and the 'Nucks fail so hard.

This ought to be good... Why do you feel that way Evil204?

Well, besides the underlying condescending remarks, I'd still take Marshall. Who cares where a player is drafted? Pulu was drafted 4th round and I'd take him over some of the first round, a handful of the second round, and most of the third round picks from last year. Zata, Datsyuk, Martin St. Louis were all suppose to be fringe or "bad" players and I'm sure 99% of the teams that didn't drafting them are kicking themselves for not drafting them in the first round. Look at 2009 pick Anton Klementyev, he was taken in the fifth round (played for Russia at the WC last year) and I'd take him over a handful of players in that years first round. Scouting reports can say whatever they want, but watching players actually play is a lot more informative than a website or piece of paper. So keep being condescending and defensive over Mayfield, whom I said I'd gladly take in the second round because I think there are better players at the 24th spot than him, and I'll continue to proclaim who i would like the Wings to choose.

Except Lidstrom had more points and finished second in points on the team and was only like +10 away from the highest +/- on the team. Marshall is the same age, played in every position (PP/PK) and finished with nearly double the points of Mayfield and nearly +40 higher than Mayfield. Mayfield was nearly +25 away from the highest DMan +/- on his team while Marshall had twice of high of a +/- as the nearest DMan on his team. How is that being a homer saying that I'd rather have Marshall when his numbers were so outstanding in only his first year and completely dwarfed the terrible numbers of Mayfiled? I'm not opposed to Mayfield, I just think there are a handful of players I'd pick before him.

His plus minus did suck and you do have to take into consideration his team. So out of the regular 7 DMen, Mayfield finished 2nd to last in plus/minus of all defensemen. On the other hand, Wing's prospect Marshall finished first on his team in +/- (twice as much as the nearest DMan) and 4th among DMan in the entire league. Marshall is 5'9" and 170. I'd take Marshall over Mayfield, size be damned. Both are Americans so no one can use a nationality bias against me. So I agree +/- is misleading, but it's useful when comparing it to players on the same team who play against the exact same teams. One player has the second lowest on their team and the other has the best on their team. Also, the players are only a couple months apart, while Marshall was only in his first season in the USHL while Mayfield was in his 2nd season in the USHL.

I never said you thought he was a future superstar. And I never said Hudler sucks for health reasons. Please don't put words in mouth. Thank you.
-
What's normal to you, may not be normal to other people. Some people on LGW think Hudler is a future superstar, but normal people know that's not true. You need to learn to be tolerant of other people and their eating habits Eva.

Since when is being aggressive being careless? Hasek was one of the most aggressive goalies I've ever watched, and I'd hardly call him careless. So again, everyone keeps taking 7uongo's quote out of context.

I love Sheahan and thought that was a great pick. I NEVER once said it's easier to gain weight being 5'11" than being 6'4". That's something you keep saying and somehow got fixated on and keep regurgitating. Khocklachev is 5'11" and will probably grow another inch or he might not. He is 176 pounds and can gain 20 pounds in one summer just like Tatar did with ease and also keep adding more muscle like Tatar is. So that's a highly skilled 6' 196+ pound speedster who is just as good of a finisher as he is a creative play-maker. I don't see what's wrong with that type of player.
-
Weight is weight And as I pointed out, Tatar was able to do it and he's smaller than said Russian prospect.

Still doesn't take away from my overall point in regards to your "youth" comment.

Latest Rumor: NHL Team Expected to Announce Rebranding in 2012
Konnan511 replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
I +1'd you because of the work you put into it, but it's better to look at percentage of tickets sold than actual attendance. You could have an area with 1 million people and an arena that only fits 15,000 or an area with 10mil with an arena that seats 18000, but the 18000 seater only has 16000 average attendance while the 15,000 is sold out every night. -
Milbury has also been criticized for the many decisions he made in which payroll or orders for upper management were not factors. Many young players and prospects that Milbury traded away went on to have distinguished careers, often eclipsing those of the players he received in return. He has traded away: Defensemen Zdeno Chara, Wade Redden, Bryan Berard, Eric Brewer, Darius Kasparaitis, Bryan McCabe; Goalies Roberto Luongo Tommy Salo Forwards Olli Jokinen, Todd Bertuzzi, Tim Connolly, Raffi Torres. Milbury has also come under fire for his draft day decisions such as choosing Rick DiPietro first overall in 2000 over Dany Heatley and Marian Gaborik; as well as his decision to include the 2001 second overall draft pick (Jason Spezza) as part of the Alexei Yashin trade. Year Cost Cap Hit buyout 2011-12 $2,204,000 $2,204,000 2012-13 $2,204,000 $2,204,000 2013-14 $2,204,000 $2,204,000 2014-15 $2,204,000 $2,204,000

Is he the guy who killed a girl by drunk driving?
-
Where did you get that notion from? I've asked you a million times, why can your guy get bigger but mine can't? You've never answered it, instead, you've done nothing but belittle me and make condescending remarks towards me. And he's listed as 5'11" from the latest reports I've seen. Also, tatar put on 20 lbs of muscle in one seasona nd he's smaller than Khocklache, but I see how it's easy to forget to mention that.
