Freshman girls gain 20-30 pounds all the time with ease over the course of a school year. If they can do it, so can Khocklachev. I grew about an inch and a half my first couple years of college and a lot of people I know continue to grow until their early 20s. So again. Why is it ok for Mayfield to grow, but Khocklachev can't?
-
We both know he doesn't possess that newt like ability. His laser vision, would not have been helpful on ice, either, so don't even bring that up.
-
Wait, how was a one legged Grigs lazy?
-
So it's ok to say your prospect will get bigger but it's unfathomable for me to say mine will?
-
Khocklachev is 5'11" 180. he'll add another inch or two and another 20-30 pounds as well. Why is Mayfield the only guy allowed to grow? 6'1" 205 isn't small by any means.

Mainly because low numbers have been used since the dawn of time and to have someone be like, I want to wear 74, it just looks like a selfish act and going against what the players (who were probably better than you) before you did.
-
If he had a lack of heart, he would have announced his retirement as soon as his injury, or complained publicly about being benched in the playoffs.
-
Something about putting the team before you. If you've been playing hockey at a school for a long time and it's always been low numbers, then you have some punk who will only play for you if he gets "his" number, then it shows a character flaw and what not.

At 24, I'm looking at any one of : Khokhlachev, Alexander or Karlsson, William or Jaskin, Dmitri or Klefbom, Oscar

Go Bruins.

I am calm. I'm not angry in the slightest. If you only knew the conversation I'm having with kook and Dawn/Karen right now you'd know that. Plus it's not reaching. You only included the first half of the quote and not the second half of the quote (same exact thing I did) where he states it's the style of play which also leads to him being able to make the harder saves as well.
-
Haha thanks! Like I've mentioned, there are four posters going around being neggers on all my posts.
-
And you can make anything sound condescending by taking things out of context. Watch, I'll show you: But then we only quote this part.... Wow! What a condescending prick. I thought Lidstrom was a nice guy, but he's clearly calling their goalie bad!

He was asked a question and answered it. We (LGW/Americans/hockey fans) rip on Canadians for being so predictable and boring in press conferences or when interviewed, we are now ripping into guys who are honest? How is saying "Due to his playing style, it's harder for him to make those saves since he comes so far out, but goalies like me who stay in the net have an easy time with those. It's also because of that style that he is able to makes saves I can't". I don't see it as critiquing, just answering a question. I guess haters gunna hate, and I don't even like that rat looking turd. Where did 7uongo boast or brag? Or was that just a general statement?
-
Whose? I completely agree. Usually it comes down to having a hot goalie, and as Wings' fans, we know how a hot goalie with bed mattresses as leg pads can do in the playoffs.
-
Then he immediate said that Thomas can make saves that he (7uongo) can't, all based on playing style. I have 4 haters on here that neg all my posts. I know who they are, which makes it even more funny.
-
Didn't seem like trash talking to me. 7uongo readily admits that because of Thomas' style that he is adept at making saves that he himself could not make, but the opposite is the same. If you stay in your net (Luongo), those saves aren't too difficult to make. Seems like a decent analysis.

Except when you look at the SCF this year, you have 2 of the 3 Vezina nominees. I agree in years past you just needed a hot goalie, but this year, whether it be an anomaly (except the Canucks have a fantastic team from top to bottom), or goalies are now tiding the turn that you may need an elite goalie to go super deep in the playoffs.

I'd never underestimate the power of a Jedi Master. Let's offer six million for Weber or Doughty. What happens? The other teams match. We offer 6 mil for Burns. What happens? They don't match, we lose 4 first rounders and drastically overpaid for an above average defenseman. Holland offers 6 mil (total) for two top 4 UFA DMen. What happens? We get two good DMen without giving up any assets. Plus, you're also assuming that the players we'd make offers for are of equal skill or better when in reality only one is. The rest are worst.

+1 for the perfect usage of this picture! +1 For the perfect usage of this picture

If the player is young or hitting their prime, the Wings won't trade or sign them because it'd cost too much to get them and Holland doesn't mortgage the future. Think of projects like Cleary or Miller or guys like Rafalski who came here. Burns, Doughty etc won't be coming here until they get their big big payday and finish those contracts and come looking for a cup after they already got their money.

Whatever the end of the story is, it's a good book!
-
We need a defenseman, end of story.
-
The kid has stated what he wants... He wants to only play for certain teams in the OHL. Sound like the Eli Manning/Elway of the hockey world. You'll probably see his rights traded to the Knights and then they'll sign him, or he'll go play NCAA hockey and get a college education.

#1) Which is why I think offering Mursak, Abdelkader, a 2nd and possibly Emmerton or Marshall could easily land Carter from the Flyers. They dump massive salary and get a slew of young players that are NHL caliber with two forwards that still have a chance of being 2nd/3rd liners and an exciting defensman destined to be a PP QB. #2) You're under-rating Smith's defense. Plus, his vision and puck moving skills would easily land him in the top 4 of most other teams on top of being their first or 2nd PP QB. And if he's not in Detroit this season, then he will be next season. If Holland doesn't get 2 above average defensemen, then we'll see Smith this year. #3) That's a massive over payment for a playoff no show. Philly will be looking for young value on top of being able to dump Carter's salary. Many teams, including the Wings, have the right assets to land Carter. appendix A) Ewww... If Pronger didn't have a disgusting contract, I'd take him in a heart beat.
