I'm trying to stay objective and not trying to fall into the enforcer/anti-enforcer debate. UK will love this suggestion, but why not re-sign Tardiff and have him be the 13th forward? He's a guy who will put up 10+ points (if playing full-time), is an above average skater and a hell of a fighter who already knows the Wing's system?

We all want Laich, but he's going to be overpaid by someone.
-
Every one of those lines has at least two extremely defensively responsible forwards on it, they are also very fast, but you're missing Sheahan who will be to the big show probably before Pulkkinen due to skating and size. I'm not worried at all about our forward depth, i think we'll be top 10 or 5 in scoring in the future for a while, i just have reservations about our defense as we have a TON of puck movers, but no defensive minded defensemen.

I'm still trying to let go of Robert Lang, I can't handle another whipping boy.

Dobber hockey has all the official numbers and such. I really don't care if the fourth liner was Miller or konopka, but if I had to pick i would pick Miller (but that's not saying a whole lot as I don't really care for him). When it comes to hits, Miller is nearly on par with konopka, at least according to the stats, but we both know all hits aren't created equal. My only gripe with Konopka is that he does have a high PIMs, which isn't something you want to see out of a puck possesion team, but I'm sure if he was told to cut down on the PIMs (like Mitch was told for this past season) and work on creating "some" offensive chances, I'm sure more of LGW would be responsive to Konopka over miller. Plus, konopka not being a winger, also is a reason I'd pick Miller.

I never said majority, I said a lot of the time. He spent the majority with the line FEDORUK,TODD, KONOPKA,ZENON, VEILLEUX,STEPHANE. As much of the time he spent on that line, he also played an equal amount interchanged on lines with Stamkos, St. Louis and a good chunk with Downie. With those players, he wasn't able to produce. Also, here's a good statistical break down of Miller vs. Konopka where Miller comes away the winner in 29 of the 36 statistical categories last season and 25 of 38 this past season. =19&compare[]=455&sent=go&games=2009-2010%3AR%3A99"]Miller vs Konopka from last season =19&compare[]=455&sent=go&games=2010-2011%3AR%3A99"]Miller vs Konopka this season I really don't care who plays on the 4th line eating PK time, but if I had to pick between those two, I'd pick Miller

I actually threw up a little bit

He actually played the majority of this season with Matt Martin and Jesse Jonsue (sp). Both good young players. Last season he played a lot with Fedoruk and Steve Downie. Downie is better than all the players you mentioned and Matt Martin will be too in a few years....if he doesn't turn into another Matt Cooke.

Do. Not. Want. He takes worse penalties than Salei and Eager combined.

Lots of torn hamstrings. Getting beaned in the head also doesn't help. Lots of catchers get injured at home plate collisions.
-
64 points in 76 games. Pretty close. He did an amazing job as a first year pro, it's a shame the Wings didn't have any room for him. All the best luck Goldfish!

Hudlers 11 game stretch had as much of an effect as Crosby's first half pace.

He did, and he threw the first punches before Bieksa had his mitts off. Hudler laughs in your general direction.

Chelios was one of the best defensive defensmen of this and the past three eras. He can help coach how you should be positioned on ES and on the PK. I think he'd be good, but I also think he should work with the prospects on skating and conditioning.

Thanks. Like I said, an upgrade is needed, but he isn't the reason our PK and GA are so bad. Our PK and GA would have been much better if Jimmy played like Jimmy played in the postseason. When Jimmy played lights out last season, we were top 10 in PK and number 7 in GA. This year with a struggling and over worked Jimmy we were 23rd and 17th in GA and PK respectively. It isn't all his fault and people need to remember that all schemes and final decisions run through Babcock. But we do need a DMen coach that relays to our DMen to not pinch 24/7 and to clear the crease.
-
He's a soft Euro who doesn't play a flashy game, of course no one is going to talk about him. He's severely under appreciated on these boards, that's for sure.
-
Every team needs a scapegoat. We could definitely use a guy with better defensive schemes, but he isn't the reason our guys sucked.

Lol, without being banned... NSFW

No to that. They weren't ready this season and still need at least another year down in the AHL. But as for the latter, Jarnkrok and Pulkkinen look to have bright futures. Hopefully Almqvist stops being a ***** and bulks up like Nill and Andersson say he needs to do, but for some reason Almqvist hasn't done it. Marshall looks like a steal and might have an impact within 5 years. Sheahan should be at worst a shut down third line center in 2-5 years for the Wings.

This is as false of a statement as someone can make. The league had record revenues...for the billionth year in a row and Crosby was out for half of it and had zero effect on the revenue.
-
That title belongs to Eaves or Stuart.
-
The blind hatred for Crosby in the hockey world is amazing. I don't like him for the same reason i don't like Iginla/Ovechkin/Thornton, they are just terrible leaders. What, Iginla a terrible leader, but he fights and is tough! Save it.Although I don't like Crosby, at least I can admit he is one of the top two players in the world.

There was a 14 game stretch where Eaves had 10 points. That's a 59 point pace! Hell there was a stretch of him having 8 points in 8 games, that's an 82 point pace while having a pace of scoring almost 72 goals!!!! Should Eaves be put on Datsyuk's wing because of having a good stretch or two? No.
