Bryz has said for a while that he won't play in Winnipeg if the team moves. Can't blame him, it's like living in Edmonton...but worse.

I mentioned a few month ago that the cap was projected to rise 3-4 mil for the next season, now with this new deal, it should bump up another 1-2 mil. This team is already SCF legit, we could use a better back end of our DCore and more wingers who can score-20-30 goals without being a defensive liability. If they are mean and nasty or soft and squishy I don't care, as long as they get results. Imagine having a set of six 20 goal wingers to play outside of Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Filppula while keeping Eaves/Helm/Abdelkader on the fourth line. That's one line-up i would put money on to win the cup. Let Salei walk and trade Ericsson for some decent picks and get a defensive defensman for the 4/5 spot that actually loves hitting and has a mean streak. I love Big Rig, but he plays like a Tonka Play Truck and I think he is replaceable with a much higher cap. Get a steady back up goalie for no more than 1.5mil to help push Howie and help him grow. With these adjustments I think we can pot 280+ goals a season while giving up about 40-50 less goals a season. While our defense might not improve as much, our offense would thrive and keep the other team out of our zone because we would have the puck down in the opponents zone most the time. I guess we disagree on that. Dion is a very smart hockey player and that makes me sick just saying that. I compared JMFJ and Neon Dion because they play very similar except Dion knows how to play defense. He's only been a minus player once before this season where he finished -1 on a team that finished -122!!! Dion has a great head for the game, JMFJ on the other hand is lucky to be able to tie his own shoes without his father's help.

I've noticed many turnovers and dumps that barely get past the blue-line, but I'm not s***ting bricks when he's out there like I was during the regular season. The only time i am nervous is when he is out there with Salei and they are pinned in our zone. Those two couldn't stop Carrot Top and the Bernstein guy in our own zone. But, i feel more comfortablewith Big E out there than Salei.

For 3.75 mil a season and a guy who has been a plus once in the past 6 seasons while averaging about 20 points a game, I think he got lucky with such a big contract. I like him, and think he adds more positives than negatives to the team. I think he's slightly over valued and a contract that paid him 2.75-3.25mil a year would be about appropriate, but we are definately a much better team since he arrived to the Wings and am happy he is here. Jack Johnson is a Dion Phaneuf, except Jack Johnson has zero idea how to play defense. I mean damn, JMFJ finished -21 on a team that finished +22.

St. Louis wins this award easily, unfortunately. He had like 100 points and 10 PIMs and has a good chance at winning the Hart or at least Lindsay.

He looked very energized. He still shoots too far away form the net, but he directly lead to the first goal of the game by taking a defender out of the play by driving the net.

The Sharks and Wings are both shaky in net and the Wings have substantially more depth. I have no worries in beating the Sharks, if they can still even pull out a win against the Kings.

The only reason i wouldn't want Doan, is because he could cost you a game or two with his undisciplined play. One or two games in the new NHL could potentially have season ending consequences. If he were able to control his temper and idiocy, then I would welcome him with open arms But I completely agree with those interviews. it really must suck being a Yote', having a successful team, and have empty seats.

I have a lot of respect fir the Coyote organization. They put together a winning team and really tried to win unlike the Panthers and some sporadic teams in the league. I blame their fans. Much like the Tampa Bay Ray's fans who had a really good team the past many years, their fans just don't show up to support a winning team. In Winnipeg, it was the other way around. Good fan support but a bad team and city.

Depends on how you interpret stats. If someone has 6 points and a dozen have 5 and player X has 4, I consider that player X is third in points while the people with 5 are tied for second. To each their own. Filppula is a beastttt. Well worth the money.

If Lidas retires, go for an elite DMan. Otherwise invest it in a Brooks Laich or a sniping fast winger for Filppula. If those don't pan out, lock up our players or just save it for the trade deadline. Ps, Shea Weber won't be coming here. Nashville will have a buttload of cap space to pay him 10mil+ if any team tries and offer sheet. Sutter might be the more probable guy we could get from them.
