Mike babcock is a great coach, I would not question his coaching.... That is like you questioning Holland as the GM. Babcock can only do so much, its up to the guys on the ice to produce. Its all about the players. You did not expect the wings to go 16 and 0 in the playoffs did you?

Bettman will not answer any questions and Holland will do the same thing he has done for many years, GM the best dam hockey team on the planet. I wish someone make Bettman play hockey, so he can see what the game is really about.

I have faith in our wings. They will pull it out to night. It will be a great game. I think that the last 2 games the Wings have not been playing "Red Wing" hockey and instead are trying to play the Ducks game and are not doing it well. I also think that the Ducks played their best game of the playoffs on tuesday. They looked sharp and they had some good cycles down low. I think that we have yet to see the best game for the Wings and we will get to see that tonight. GOOOO WINGS. Wake up boys, its playoff time. With all the crap going on in Detroit with the Big three, it would be nice to see the big silver cup stay in Hockeytown. We all know that Lord Stanley loves it here in Detroit.

Couple of honest questions to those of you that think signing Maltby is a bad idea. 1. Would you want the Wings to play againts Maltby? 2. Did you know that players can retire even with a couple of years left on their contract? (I know what a shocker ) 3. Why would you not want Maltby playing for the Wings till he Retires? The Sharks have a great team but are missing that finishing move. They could have taken this series if they had that Finishing blow. It was a great learning series for your Sharks, I expect great things from them in the years to come.

Sorry Everytime I see threads that say Hasek needs to stop playing the puck get me fired up because it is wrong. Anyone that knows Hockey knows that Goalie's should play the puck, granted, Hasek is far from the best at it but he still needs to do it. I didnt mean to attack anyone, I am just attacking the thread cause I think it is stuped to suggest hasek to change anything about his game. After all he has been the best Goalie in the playoffs this year. I think that the MVP vote comes down to Hasek and Cleary in the playoffs.

I would never ever sign this petition. This is basicly asking Hasek to change his style. It is a dumb idea. You guys need to learn the sport of hockey before coming up with these stuped idea's. By playing the puck, he slows down the for checkers and allows more room for the Defensive to make a play. Yes he is not the best puck handling goalie but that doesnt matter. He needs to make better quicker choices with the puck but to tell him to say in net is a really bad idea. Part of Hasek's style is to get involved in the game, and since the Wings limit the number of shots on him during a game, sometimes going long periods of no shots, he needs to get into the game by playing the puck and controling the tempo. This Petition is dumb, this thread is dumb and if you support this idea you need to watch more hockey and start to learn it. I have been trying to say this in every Dom should stop handling the puck thread. Its amazing how so called Hockey fans dont understand this. A goalie playing the puck stops the dumb and chase because he slows down the play.

I have been a Sammy Support all year and I have got into some heated topics with people on the board. I hope everyone of you that though Sammy was not a good hockey player can suck it up and admit they were wrong. How about Lang's goal, that was the difference maker in the Series. How about you Hasek Doubters? did he shut you up yet? Most of you that dont like Sammy, Lang or had a problem with Haseks play need to learn what hockey is all about. Humor me if you will. When does scoring goals only count as Offensive? Assists, setting up goals, getting a good powerplay regardless of scroing is just as important. Are you tell me that because they only have 6 goals between them that they dont create offensive? Explain that to me please.

I have been a Sammy and Lang support on these boards since I joined. I have even got into in the chat room with some of you fine folks. It was a great shot, it was a GRRRRrrreat game and come monday it will be a Grrrreat Series. Poor Matty, breaking his wrist, that has to suck, atleast he will go down with the series OT goal.

I do watch him, Every game I can... He is one of my favorite Defense man because he is physical. I dont see all these give aways you speak off. What I see is a young Defense man learning the speed of the NHL and providing a solid D man. He is part of the reason that Detroit limited teams to 20 shots or less. He makes good first passes out of the zone and he stands people up at the Blue on almost ever rush. Again I dont see constant giveways or turnovers, atleast not anymore then is normal during a course of a NHL year. Kronwall finished +/- 0 for the season. That is respectable.. The one thing that Kronwall needs to work on his not getting injuryed, once he figures out why this keeps happening, he will be come one of the best D man in the league. Again please watch hockey and learn the sport, it is important to understand the game beyond goals and points. I have said it many times on these boards but I must say it again.. Hockey is about the little things that players do that make them good or bad hockey players. Nope I would put Lebda in Quincey's spot and Kronwall in Markoff's spot. It is amazing the lack of hockey knowledge on this board. Kronwall played good all season till he got hurt. How can you say he is a lieability. Hockey is not about Scoring or points or anything like that, all that comes from doing the little things. The little things are winning battles for the puck, playing tight defense in your own zone, causing problems for the offensive by playing Phyical. Kronwall plays the body more then any of our other Defensive man. Yes Lilja has step up and played great in the playoffs but he did not play that great during the year... Hence why he was sat some this year. Kronwall has been and will be an impact player for Detroit. If anything negitive can be said about him, he seems to be injury prone which is not good. Seriously before you post something on the boards about how bad a player is or how much of a lieability he is. Learn the game of Hockey. You sound dumb when you say s*** like this. Quincy is playing great but I would much rather have Kronwall in for him any game. Kronwall is just that much better then Quincy. Quincy will get their with more NHL time but right now Kronwall is a better player hands down.

GIGUERE just got his first few games in this playoffs so I cant really rate him that high yet, he has only played a few games. TURCO is not in the playoffs anymore. Which leaves Dom as #1. I agree SV% is a better stat but then again when the Wings limit the other team to 20 shots or less and most of those 20 shots are quiality chances .919% is great. Honestly watch the other Goalies in the Playoff still. SV% is still a stat based on how many shots vs how many goals allowed, that is flawed in this case because Dom does not face alot of easy shots. Most of his shots are scoring chances. Thanks for the "I wish more people on LGW could be more like you" comment. I love to talk hockey, weather everyone agress with me or not. I will always provide valid information to back up my opinion and I will never discount a well though out post that disagrees with me. That is what makes it fun to talk hockey on these boards, not everyone agrees on everything. and the More civil conversations we can have the more fun it is.

Yes his GAA is 2.00 in these Series but 2 goals a game gives your team the ability to win. Dom will never stop playing the puck, like I said in the other thread it is part of his style. Is he playing the best games of his Career? No I dont think so but I do think Dom is playing better then okay, he is playing great. On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being perfect) I would say an 8 to an 8 1/2 What would you give him? I value your PoV, I think you provide good information on why you think Dom is not playing great. I disagree that Dom should of had that first Goal of Game 4 because it would have takeing a lucky save to stop it. Dom is playing better then you are giving him credit for though, he has made some huge huge saves. He also made some bone headed plays. But to say that he needs to play better, I dont agree, He is making the big saves when he needs to, he is making the Sharks think before they shoot and that is huge when you can do that to an offensive team like the Sharks. haha really, Sharks fans are saying play Toskala? Why? Langs goal was a little iffy but the other 2 goals were out right unstoppable. I think Nabby has played his best Hockey in the Playoffs. I dont think Toskala would do any better. Nah your not stiring up a hornets nets. Nabby is a great goalie too, he has made some big saves, but I dont think you can honestly compare Nabby to Hasek. Nabby is young so he will turn out to be a great goalie for the Sharks but right now Hasek is the better goalie in the Series hands down. I am not taking anything away from Nabby, their is no way in hell anyone including SUPERMAN himself could have saved that overtime blast. Nabby has played good hockey, he has given the Sharks a solid goalie but the Sharks are not giving him the support after they get a lead. The Sharks are sitting back and letting the Wings take it to them and I am pretty sure the Wings have proven that is not a good way to play a Talented team like Detroit.

Part of Dom's style is playing the puck. Yes he is not the best at playing the puck but that is part of his game. He feels it gets him into the game. It also slows down the forecheck and allows the D to have some room to work. Has he made some bad plays when he plays the puck, Yes, should he stop playing the Puck, Nope, it is part of his style. Cheechoo shot was impossiable to save, it was a perfect pass followed by a perfectly placed One - Timer that only gets stopped by pure luck or cheechoo missing. I am sorry but Hasek has the best chance of any Goalie left in the playoffs of stopping a shot like that and if you go back and watch it, he almost had it. Grier can score, just an FYI, look up his stats, yes he is not know for scoring but thats like saying Draper cant score. Nobody jumps on you for not liking Dom, people jump on you for saying dumb s*** about his play. Every Game this year in the playoffs Dom has given the Wings a chance to win. That is all any NHL team asks of their Goal, Give us a chance to Win. Is Dom able to steal a game, Yes he is but you cant expect him to every game. Hasek has done everything he was Signed to do. Win games with outstanding play. Yes he has had some goals we all wish he could have back and plays we wish he would not have made but hey that is Hockey for you, Game of Inch. I dont mind you bashing Hasek but blindly bashing Hasek is what I think gets people attacking you. Hasek only gets the 2 Million if he leads us to the CUP. Then and only then does he get the bonus. a 2.00 GAA is not bad in the playoffs. Its not great but it ALLOWS YOUR TEAM A CHANCE TO WIN. Look at all the Goals he has let in during this Series, how many can you blame on him. I can think of 3 maybe. (his give away, Grier goal in game 1 and maybe maybe the first goal in game 3). I am sorry you feel like you cant say anything bad againts Hasek but to be fair, if you provided some information other then Hasek sucks, Hasek has to steal a game, Hasek has not played good, then maybe we would take what you say more seriously.

To be fair Kronwall when not injuryed is one of our best defensive man. Yes Lilja is playing great hockey and he needs to keep this up. How about Quincy though.. OMG is this kid going to be a great player for us in the years to come and not to mention he gets to learn playoff hockey from the Old man Cheli

Detroit looked like the team with more jump and energy in the 3rd and 4th periods. I think after that loss and how Ron Wilson called out some players on his team that the San Jose Sharks will come out flying on Saturday, Detroit will have to weather the storm in the first period and Hasek will need to play exactly like he has played. I would tell Dom not to change anything. Hasek is giving the Red Wings a chance to win each and every game in these playoffs. What more can you ask of your Goalie?
