OMG!!! That is the great thing about hockey! Did you not see the giveaway to lead to Teemu's goal??? How is that not deserved??? If the Wings capitalized on something like that would you say the Wings didn't deserve it? Come on....

I completely agree. Especially after such a chippy/dirty Calgary series. This series was cleaner than I thought it would be.... especially with Anaheim leading the league in fighting majors

They very much deserved to win game 5. The wings played a great 59 minutes of hockey. That isn't good enough to win. The ducks outplayed the Wings and scored goals when they needed to. Plain and simple.

Wow. Why shouldn't they be playing right now? Maybe some of the people posting in this thread aren't old enough to remember how dirty Chelios used to play. Anyone remember the highstick's on Yzerman??

I agree. If the Wings "deserved" this series.. they would have won it!! It's sad that there are so many wings fans on here that can't give credit when credit is due! Maybe people need to sleep on it. I know it hurts bad that the Wings were eliminated... but c'mon people.

Ducks deserved this series. They took advantage of our mistakes. Some of you have said that the refs gave them game 5. Is that why we had 2 5 on 3's and didn't capitalize??

lol I am absolutely NOT a ducks fan. I've been a Wings fan for 20 years. I don't have anything against Chelios. In fact... I wore his jersey tonight. I love Chelios. I don't care if it's my favourite player who decides not to shake hands... it just isn't right.

That's lame! There is absolutley NO reason for not shaking hands. He skated off the ice... even shook hands with the coaches. There is no reason why he couldn't have skated to centre ice to shake hands.

Okay... so going by your argument of "they play dirty.. dont' shake their hands".... I guess that should have been the case when Chelios was such a dirty player back in the day????

Thank you!! Being a professional sports player is very much about sportsmanship. Too emotional??? Whatever What about the other players on our team???? They ALL shook hands. It's an embarasment to the wings

Wow... I can't believe some of you are defending that? I don't care if you're too emotional or don't respect them... you shake their hands!!! Is that what he teaches his kids when they play hockey. I don't care what the circumstances are... you shake the other teams hands!!!

Before the Sharks series I really didn't think we stood a chance to beat them..... and now we did. I really don't think we'll beat the Ducks.... so hopefully.... this works again!!
