Everyone put in their suggestions.. Do you think that Lidstrom is playing hurt cuz he doesnt look like himself!!!

Lilja has been the Wings overall best D-man in the playoffs. The numbers obviously dont show it but the play does. He has stopped countless odd-man rushes, block shots, and is playing physical. Thoughts???

ooooo.... i totally agree! The only reason I mentioned anything is becuase he looked like that at the end of the season and in the Calgary season, he doesnt seem to get position on anyone!

I definately agree.... but even though the team looks like crap, it isnt like him to play like he is!

Lidstrom by far is the best defenseman in the league and the NHL will hopefully recognize that again by awarding him another Norris. BUT..... how would some of you respond to the fact that some ESPN analysts' are giving Niedermayer the trophy hands down because his play toppled the play of Lidstrom all season?!?

I dont know about anyone else but Detroit's big guys need to step up and stop letting SJ's enforcers beat all of the wings little guys down. The were numerous times where lidstrom, zetterberg, datsyuk, and a couple others were getting beat down in front of the net in both ends and the Wings big guys just sat there. If we dont match that we will NOT win this series. The big reason we won the Calgary series is because we out played them physically. Opinions???

I know he's no Scotty Bowman by a long shot... but wings fans need to stop the comparisons becuase no one will live up to him as a Red Wings coach. No one is going to lead them to back to back cups or 3 cups in 6 years. The league is too competitive now. As for riding a hto goalie to the finals... he may have done that but neither Hasek, Osgood, or Legace was stellar and they still managed 108 wins in 2 years. That says he's doign something right!

I dont understand how anyone can do this to Babcock. He has led the wings to 108 wins in 2 seasons which not many coaches can do. Presidents trophy last year and damn near another one this year. They are in the second round this year. You dont have to bash on Babcock just becuase the wings f***in sucked ass tonight. He isnt shooting the puck into San Jose's legs and wasnt doing it in the Calgary series. If you're such an expert.. then you get in there and do it yourself. Personally, i think he is a great coach! They play how they play.... too much pressure is put on the coaches to take a team to the cup every year. Yah... it is always the goal but people ahve to realize that your team isnt goign to win it every year and that ISNT the coaches' fault. s*** JUST HAPPENS!!! Quit the s***ting on Babcock and start looking at the play of people like Lang and Bertuzzi. Lang needs to wing a big faceoff and Bertuzzi needs to stop the dumbass penalties cuz he sure didnt try to hide the flying elbow or the chicken s*** slew foot. THEY NEED TO PULL IT TOGETHER.... BABCOCK IS DOING HIS JOB... now the wings need to do theirs!!!!
