I thought the rumor at the beginning of the playoffs was that if the Sharks don't win it all that Nabokov would be out and they would look toward Marty Turco as a replacement.

I always hated him more than Pronger because of his ability to join the rush and crash the net.

He came out and said he hoped to sign him for $6M?? Way to negotiate from a position of strength, Kenny. Even if Lids was thinking along the lines of 2.5 - 4 why would he settle for that when it is already out there that he might get 6??

What pisses me off is that Detroit still is the butt end of jokes about rioting after playoff victories. Nothing really bad has happened here since the 1984 Tigers. Since then Dallas, Denver, Montreal, LA, Boston have made huge asses of themselves but we are the city with the bad rep.

If that is the actual picture of the jersey then I would think that it is a knockoff. I thought all authentic jerseys, even authentic replicas, had either the team logo, the NHL logo or CCM on the lower back hem or just above the name. Wow, and I was going to joke about reviewing this and here you go...

Just an observation I had last year during the Wings-Hawks series. I had tickets for Game 1 and saw two guys wearing Toews Winter Classic jerseys walking up to the Joe. One was clearly a knock off as the colors shades did not match up at all with the other. Had they not been walking together I wouldn't have noticed anything strange but together it was so obvious even an NHL ref could see. For me, I couldn't stand having a jersey that didn't look quite right. I had to send my Ovechkin jersey back from NHL.com simply because they use the damn name plate.

Oh! Oh! AND only if we can somehow still trade to get Chris Neil!!

This is exactly how I feel. Sakic to me was always like an Yzerman Jr. And as was stated earlier no matter how much I hated the Avalanche I could never hate Joe Sakic. Sad day for hockey =(

It was some of the worst televison I've every seen...EVER. The only people who didn't sound completely lost were the few actual actors who KNEW how to read off a teleprompter. To me, the whole production was an embarrassment. Do some rehearsal work for gosh sakes. Move it back to Toronto and let Ron McLean handle it.

I have noticed that he cheats on just about every faceoff attempt. Drives me nuts that Z gets kicked out of faceoffs frequently but haven't seen Staal kicked out very often.

I highly recommend that if you plan on eating anything and actually having a table to sit down to get there VERY early. Last year Game 5 was a nightmare. Took almost the entire first period just to get a drink at the bar.

I think it is a good choice. He would be one of, if not the most experienced player on the team. He's won Cups with 2 teams, though I can't remember if he won twice with the Devils or just the one time. This guy has been there, done that. Same can't be said of Iginla or Crosby...yet. I HATE Scott Niedermayer far more than Chris Pronger but I think the decision would be a good one.

Great! Now I have the name to complain about when I send over my "suggestion" to the Wings marketing department for some of the worst songs played at a sports venue. I mean, Billy Joel!?? That really pumps everyone up. Not to mention "Right Here, Right Now" by Jesus Jones during the pre game warmup. Just awful.

I can pretty much guarantee that he would never be welcome in Chicago again. It probably sickens them enough to see him with the Wings.

THIS. Last year Malkin was garbage, looked like he had hit the wall. Not so this year. Remember a few years back when the Oilers were firing on all cylinders? I remember clearly seeing Steve Yzerman walk off the ice for the final time of his career. I still can't believe we lost to the Oilers.

This seems to be quite typical with Chicago fans and to a lesser extent Red Sox fans. If they can't say something thought provoking regarding a Detroit sports team then they will just attack the city or state. I'm sure the economy and bailout makes them happy as it seems to add more ammunition to their attacks. We know, the city of Detroit sucks which is why none of us live there.
