Sad story, but they've made signifcant progress considering the extent of their injuries, so at least there's something positive to focus on. I can't believe it's been 10 years, I remember watching SportsCenter (the clip that's on the '98 championship DVD) and being completely in shock. I hope they can both continue to improve their quality of life, and remain connected to the Wings organization.

So people there are buying Ducks season tickets as some sort of status symbol? Wouldn't a BMW make a more effective statement? "Hey John, isn't there a Ducks game tonight?" "Yeah, but instead of going I'm going to burn my ticket so I can in turn light a $100 bill, and then use that to light my cigar" "Yeah, life sure is sweet in the OC!" I always thought people purchase season tickets because they like the team.

Overhyped. In every level of hockey I watch (NHL, college, men's league) it doesn't really seem to make that much difference.

So he sucked for the Sharks because they didn't believe in him? I think they didn't believe in him because he played terribly. Perhaps a change of scenery would change things around for him, but it's not a chance I would take.
