Jensen (3) looks real good. Cleary is skating much better than last year, but still seems to fall down often. Callahan is impressive. It looks like he'll become a responsible two-way player. He's probably the player I am most excited for the future. Weiss had a very good shift, and it made me laugh because I've never said that about Weiss. I don't have any opinions on Marchenko, Sproul or Oullet. Sheahan looks good as usual. The refs are calling way too many penalties, as usual.

I don't know, I don't think we are under-rated. I think this team has a lot of unrecognized potential, but it's just potential at this point and it's up to the Wings to prove to everybody they aren't a playoff bubble team.

I don't know man, I think Helm showed some pretty awesome sauce last year. EEvery time I'm ready for Helm's funeral he comes back and still shows more potential than before. It's crazy. If he can settle in couldn't he be a top guy? Looks like it to me. Too bad the guy is made of glass bones and paper skin.

I think those top two lines are awesome. Really, I do. Except maybe Cleary doesn't really fit on that line? (well, where does his fit, exactly?) I guess my point is that our #1 line tonight is sick young talent and I like the combo of andersson/miller. I am excited to see the bottom two lines since I know nothing about them Weiss on the third line is absolutely hilarious. Maybe the staff knows that Weiss just isn't that good.

Lashoff is the kind of guy I'd like to have on the bottom pairing for a couple years. I like his play. He's a Brad Stuart-type without much skill. Sounds funny saying it like that, but I still like him in the bottom role for the grit, physical play and emphasis on defense-only. He's good at canceling guys out. As he gets better he'll become more valuable, I think. It's not like he has the goal of becoming a grandeur two-way defenseman like *cough kindle*. Kindl... he still makes me sad. I always felt he had so much damn potential and raw talent. But at this point how can you have any hope for him? Wish he'd be gone but alas it will not be so. I think Bab's comments are more of a motivational speech than anything... and a smart one. I don't think him and Kenny are in love with these guys. They just want to support them in the face of the public eye and hope that the confidence washes off on them. It's a smart play. At the end of the day, we believe Babs wants to do whats right for this team. I think that's what Babs wants to do... sometimes I wonder

I strongly dislike the new design. It's like they went faddy without any regard as to how to best present their content. In other words, faddy for the sake of being faddy. EDIT: It probably looks great on mobile. This review is from somebody on a desktop, which is definitely the minority these days.

I'd argue DD is the most important young player on this team, above Nyquist and Tatar. And yet Kenny signs Cleary and Quincey while he lowballs his #1 defensive prospect and doesn't have him signed up a few weeks before preseason. Damn, you'd think Kenny would understand priorities.
