Along with this GIF and the time Tootoo stared across ice at the guy in my box (GIF please?), Tootoo is one of my favorite Wings ever. Sure, he hasn't played many games or scored many points, but I'm going to remember the guy for decades, and that makes him a great hockey player in my book.

Pay a guy $4 mil over two seasons to play for you. Said player brings exactly what everybody expected. Play him for 11 games. Send him down to the juniors. Buy out his contract. Similar retardedness with Samuelsson. Why the hell is this guy even picking up the washed up baggage from these teams, paying them millions, playing them next to little, and then buying out their contracts? This is Ken Holland.

No, I think these are young guys who are team-oriented and they're not going to show up unless the holistic team effort is there. Perhaps that means I don't expect any of them to bloom into a Zetterberg, which is a legendary-type of player who can get things done single-handedly. Still, I think the young kids will be good in the future. We have 18m in cap-space this season to make the team better, and if Z/D is healthy the team will be a DARK HORSE LOL REMEMBER WHEN WE HEARD THAT -

I get the impression Alfie will never win a cup. This playoffs it looked like he wanted his team to get the cup for him more than he wanted to get it for himself. He wasn't very good, and I was extremely excited when he came at the beginning of the year. -
He probably takes a sizeable chunk of the blame for ending the Wings' season tonight. It probably makes him look bad and I'm glad because it might light a fire under Kenny to let him go.
