Holy s*** Toews got destroyed. Huge welt on his head. Year after year, this guy is a target in the playoffs and gets his ass kicked.

This game is amazing. Great pressure by the Hawks for like 15 minutes in OT1. They seem to be outclassing St Louis. I think it's a sign of things to come -- bad thing for the Blues.

Yet if a player's stick reaches around and meets the body, they're gonna call that every time. And God knows, they DO.

Would love to see Quincey gone. Just does not fit with the identity of this team, and never will.

Anyone watching this? Good energy in Colorado.

Is Ken going to be back tomorrow for the Red Wings game? Are there even going to be local feeds for Detroit this playoffs, or will half (or all) the games be blacked out due to NBC?
-
Wow, so Ken Daniels is doing the national broadcoast? He sounds great!!
-
Who is announcing the game? It totally sounds like Ken Daniels.

I'm kind of wondering if the Wings will lose this series because of their awful PP. A clear advantage the Wings have is their speed, which could mean the B's are caught taking penalties under pressure. I expect some very critical power plays throughout this series, and I'm just hoping the special teams unit comes prepared. Having Dats back is a huge plus, though.

Wait, the Staal that has 20 goals and 40 points in 79 games? Yeah, Eric Staal is awesome but he's not legendary. -
ECQF - Series C - Penguins versus Blue Jackets

Crosby has been on the ice for 2 goals against, I think. The only reason the Pens are in is because they keep scoring on the PP. And the calls against the Jackets have been super weak thus far. In my opinion, the NHL reffing is the worst of all professional sports. It's laughable. -
I chose Monster. Not that he'd ever get the recognition, but damn... he got this team in the playoffs and nobody really talks about it.
-
Eh... I still don't believe the Blues are for real. And I think Chicago will take it even with their injuries. Not saying I like Chicago, but I think it's clear to pick the winner here.

Colorado is an impressive team. They will have no problem wiping up the Wild. If only they didn't have Roy then they'd be one of my favorite teams.

Haven't been posting tonight, but has any of the bipolars said Monster has ended the season for the Wings? Anyway, if they don't score in 10 minutes and have a bad game versus Carolina, the season could be in a dire situation versus St Louis. -
When I found out the Leafs were eliminated I just felt happy and had a spring in my step. Don't realy know why, per say. Just think it's hilarious.

He rolls out horrible lines and makes all kinds of nonsensical "gut" line-juggling decisions, but he has a great relationship with the players, if not the best, and knows how to instill confidence and pride in his team. Which makes him the most irritating, and probably one of the best coaches, in the league today.

I think Lashoff is good. I usually see him in the right place in the offensive blueline, making a good chip-in to keep the puck in the zone. He seems good at reading the chemistry of his team. He checks when his team needs a check, stands up and refuses to get bowled over (rarely seen by Detroit's defense corps), makes a play in the O-zone when he senses the need, and plays decent (good) defense. He's not a shining star, and never will be, but I see him as a valuable cog of the TEAM. He reminds me of Brad Stuart, just not as good... yet. He's a younger guy. I'd be happy with him in the 6 slot for years to come as long as he doesn't regress. Kindl is just lacking confidence. He has shown glimmers of skill. Will it ever come together? Maybe. Maybe not. Perhaps he would do better with another team. His potential isn't expired, but yeah, he hasn't been good here. Yeah, but remember when we all thought Kindl was the next good O-minded defenseman and Smith was gone? Confidence changes a player.

Hurricanes. Also like the Kings, and.. *shudder* the Ducks. I have the most respect of any team for the Bruins.

Beautiful goal. Wings not showing up tonight.

The awful PP continues.

Weak shot by Kronners.
