Yeah, I was going to ask what the deal with Sammy is. I forgot he existed. I vaguely remember him playing 2 games, getting hurt, coming back for 1-2 games, and getting hurt again. I assume he's hurt again. Maybe a toe injury?

When Z wristed the shot from the blue line right into the goalie's chest the announcers thought it must've been a cross-ice pass. Anybody here, however, knows from watching enough Detroit hockey that that was a shot.

These Ducks announcers are annoying. 1:30 into the game and they are complaining about an interference no-call. A minute later they talk about the Ducks' advantage in the series, and how they think that the forward depth of the Ducks is superior to the Wings'. As if they think these enormously talented kids can't play with 42-year-old Selanne.

Did anyone else see the Duck-man go for the hit on Smith, and Smith stands tall and just knocks his ass down? Looks different to see the Red+White jersey stand up to the physicality. It's nice to see the size and physicallity of Smith. This might make him a much more valuable player in the playoffs compared to the regular season.

It just points me to the NBC stream where the Hawks/Wild are going to OT.

I don't know, Cleary is clutch and always struck me as a playoff-type player. He seems to thrive under the pressure. I admit it is hard to say this when he falls so much during the regular season that he needs to wear extra snow-pants. But he's been doing his role lately, yes? What do forumers think of his game recently? Just curious because I, too, used to wonder why Cleary wasn't playing pee-wee hockey with seven year olds. But it's nice to watch him work so hard, show so much heart, but most important... move the puck to players who can actually do something with it. Maybe Helm could come in for Tootoo cause I wouldn't want to pull anybody (even Cleary) out of the lineup right now. So I get why Bert is sitting.
