What new team should I follow and watch through to the playoffs? When will anybody hold Babcock responsible? When will the city of Detroit make any expectations on this team? How's Tatar doing?

Atleast Tatar isn't in the lineup. I would hate to see some youth, energy, legs, desperateness and scoring injected in the lineup.

Abby takes the horrible elbow to the head, comes back and scores the goal. Nice story. Bert's hands have been good tonight. Nice to see Franzen alive tonight. Beautiful goal. The whole team is moving the puck well. I love to see this classic Detroit hockey! Beautiful passes, great chemistry. The red machine.

Lidstrom. What he brings to the team is truly unmeasurable, but I'm going to bet it's the most important element in the team.

What I like about Datsyuk is he's one of THE most elite players in the league who is the most humble, least egotistical, with no drive to flash or impress. Of course, he's flashy and impressive anyway. Isn't this the best combination? He's very humble with mountains of skill. The dude racks up more assists than goals most years. I'm glad he got #1 and very surprised. Guys like Datsyuk, due to their lack of self-attention whoring, can easily be overlooked by guys who do push-ups on the ice after scoring goals. So nice to see this humble player recognized for what he is.

Who's White and where did he come from? He plays well and knows how to blend in with the flow/intensity of the game/moment. Good hockey sense and fits in nicely with the Wings chemistry.

Anyone else wonder why Erikson has absolutely no drive to go for, scoop up, recover, or touch the puck? I do. Every game.

Lol they play like that in the third period after the first two? How can that be explained?

Yay, now they're playing hockey. I thought Kiprosroff (spelling?) was outside the blue paint and Holmstrom was just battling in front of the net. With that being said, why so much criticism for Holmstrom? He's playing hard, moving his feet, making some passes, and driving the puck forward. Bertuzzi's been getting the puck past the blue line too with some nifty puck-handling. I think these two players are getting way too much criticism. They're actually playing OK.

Once Stuart learns how to play some Defense? I hate you so much.

I'll be sad to see Lebda go. He looked great when paired with Lilja. Those two defense-men have good chemistry. E was bad this playoffs, wasn't even moving his feet. Atleast Lebda skates hard and gets the damn puck in the zone.

If a goaltender gets on fire, its team has a great shot to win the Stanley Cup. But what does it take for goaltenders to get hot? Plenty of confidence. How do you build confidence in goalies? You stand behind them and show your trust in them. If Babcock pulled Hasek because of game 3, I can only shake my head. Why would you invest so heavily in a legendary goaltender, only to confide your nervousness in him, by pulling him out after one mediocre performance. The Red Wings should stand behind their players, and not yank great goalies for one mediocre game.

One minute left in the third period and I see Lang out there. I think, "Why the hell have Robert Lang out there?". I mean, seriously, this guy was a total turtle in game 2. Never have I seen such lack of motivation in the playoffs. And then Mr. Katatonia scores with 30 seconds left! Brilliant play as well. I don't hate Lang anymore (but I hope he plays better in game 5"

Anyone else a little nervous about the amount of space Detroit is giving San Jose in the neutral zone???

Awesome hit by Chelios. I'd have to say Chelios is the MVP for Detroit up to this point. His intensity is incredible. He also seems to get the team collected when they scramble by ingenus little plays.
