Probie, Quincey and Howard 2 different players, again you guys look at stats never look at the actual play in the AHL, Howard has always been a very streaky goalie, he will have 5 great games, and 5 piss poor games, and I doubt he will ever be a solid #1 in the NHL. Look at it this way, if Kenny had confidence in Howard, why did we pick up Conklin when we were already tight against the cap?

Ok, Ozzy may not be the greatest Goalie on the block, but Howard has never been able to make the bread and butter saves that all goalies need to make. I would rather have Conks and Ozzy as back up. I am without words with tonight's goaltending.... while the D wasnt the best its ever been, Howard still have 2 bad goals and that was the difference tonight

Howard HAS NEVER been consistent in the AHL why does anyone think he'll do any better in the NHL, he goes 4 games and cant win one, then plays 6 great, he never is able to play 10 good games, its always one extreme or another, he is not a great goalie, and obviously the team knows that or else they wouldnt have gone out and gotten Conklin.... Imagine what next year could be like... ....Ozzy 55+ games and Howard 27 or so.....I already need a drink

Couldn't agree more, we need to trade him while he still might have some value, cause next year he really won't make it as a solid back up, and we cant have Ozzy playing 60+ games a year...

anyone who didnt see this coming with Howard has never watched much griffins hockey, he at times looks every bit like the goalie the wings thought he'd be when they drafted him, but a lot of times, hes inconsistent and just isnt the goalie we (the fans) hoped he'd be. Case in point, if they really have any faith in him, why make our cap situation tighter and sign conklin if he really is the next great wings goalie?

Well, trade him now while we can get sth in return, hes never been consistent in the AHL and I dont think he will ever pan out as the goalie of the future we expected To this and 100 other posts, I dont see helm doing anything Kopecky/Sammy dont, Sammy (though i am a vocal hater) a role player, and we dont know if Helm will out do Kopy in any regard, at this point id rather have Meech playing forward (since for some reason the wings love him and he'll be the bane of my fandom for years to come) and bring up Ericsson for now.

Helm needs another year hes close but not quite the energy player we need now (just as much a wing's roster issue as him not being 100% there), Meech and Howard need to be buried and traded before they are utterly worthless...

Or who's the KHL going to offer 24 million dollars to next season...I mean 20....15....well 24 mill rubles
