My dream trade right now is Flippula for Michael Frolik of the Panthers, this kids brings a lot of what Flip has, but is a better scorer from what i see, decent in his own end, and is still on a entry level contract . Florida could use someone like Flip, he does have a cup ring, and could bring a more defensive posture to their team (they already dont score a lot). Best of all, it would free up around 2 million in cap space for the playoffs (meaning we could bring up Larrson and Leino or Howard for the playoff run). I would love to see these lines in that case Homer-Z-Hossa Lenio-Dats-Franzen Frolik-Cleary-Hudler Sammy-Draper-Helm

Honestly Schneider was great a few years ago on our team, and I will always be grateful for what he brought to the wings for the time he was around, but mark my words, just because someone was great 4 years ago doesnt mean its the case now. Wings fans have an odd nostalgia when it comes to players that were good their first go around on the Wings, but, definitely not what the wings would need. I mean every other post last year was about Dmac (hes a great story, but come on, hes really not NHL ready, he plays a game then is injured for the next 10 months, its time for him to hang'em up) and about how need need feds or hell ive even heard Cujo and Manny being wished for. We dont need retreads, we need to let our kids in our system come up and show what they got, so they can either be kept up, told how the need to improve, or moved. Simple as that.
