I have to agree with everyone else, I love these jerseys, they are insane.

Because Downey played in the playoffs? Because Mac miraculously came in, and stopped all the thugs from going after our players...oh wait, their were still atleast 3 cheap shots in the playoffs where the players who did them got away and Dmac didn't do anything. It was their skill that won the wings the cup, their ability to play great team defense and adjust their game to what the other team did, not because someone who played 3-7 mins a game scared the other team into forfeiting...

So, if you are willing to take in the change of a sport you like ballet or are a pansy? In baseball they had period called the dead-ball era, where every team played small ball all the time and stole a lot of bases, players who could hit for power werent the norm on every team, so just like me saying 'I hope that X-player shouldnt be in the batting order because we need more power hitters than someone who can bunt' is that disrespecting baseballs tradition? Or if were to say I like the forward pass in football, is that disrespecting football's traditions? Is having visors/helmets/netting disrespecting hockey's traditions? But, it doesnt make him a bad leader, Pronger was named captain, it wasnt like 'hey you decided to come back, here take the C from Pronger's chest, hes not using it anyway'. Retirement is a very personal decision and all i can say from what i heard is that there was no conspiracy from other side, of course nieds didnt want to hurt his team, I mean s*** if for any other reason then his brother plays on it and he may come back.

I dont know why Brunnstrom is so high on himself, if he takes the demotion he can show Dallas hes committed to the team and wants to be the best player he can, instead he pulls a Igor Grigorenko and probably will spend what could have been a good stint with dallas in some crappy euro league...

The problem is the instigator penalty and the fact that more and more players in the minors and college aren't trying to get picked as the enforcer, but more for other skills. In the near future it will be hard to find someone with the enforcer skill set (ability to fight, hit, grind, and possibly a scoring touch) youll see more and more (even to an extent today) that you try and convert someone who has one or 2 of those abilities into a more well rounded enforcer and most teams won't do that because: A they dont believe its a good use of their minor league development time, B The preference of most teams to go after players with more pure goal scoring abilities (skate, pass, shoot, etc) over the enforcer skill set, and C Tbh people who can score get paid more, if you can put up 20 goals you get more money, whereas 20 fights will get you less.

My problem isnt that he has a lot of PIM, its the Pronger is more and more letting his emotions take over in a game, and taking suspensions that will hurt their team, which is the most uncaptain like thing one can do. Whereas Nieds, besides last year has been the best leader in the Ducks organization.

Well, again, the point is, if someone like Pronger does it (the #1-2 Dman) we have players that can respond in kind.

Whats everyone's problem here? This is much less of a joke then if A they took it from him midseason last year, or B left him as captain when hes probably going to get suspended this year at a key time. I mean Pronger is much more of a joke as a captain then anyone else, and Nieds is a better person for the role...

Now I know this will get me killed, but what about Stuart and Kronwall, they are both going out their every night and ringing people's bells, its not hard to tell Kroner or Stuart to take a run at Pronger when they were putting Crosby the untouchable in his place...
