Stubhub, need I say more?

Should have been against the Penguins purely to show them what class looks like.

Winnipeg re-signs RFA D Zach Bogosian to 7yr/36m contract
Shaman replied to frankgrimes's topic in General
I don't see the outrage here, they are paying for potential, and its not like the Jets have any worries about cap space. Lets judge this contract in 3 years. -
Pierre McGuire's past that NBC doesn't want you to know about

What do you expect? Successful coaches/GMs don't end up being color commentators. They stay in the front office/behind the bench. The ones who can't cut it are what's left. -
Only if the only way to break it is by walking a Bieber around the rink.

Cabrera, followed by Prince. I don't think anyone could argue. But if you mean who is the best checker on the team, its Kronwall.

If the Wings are reasonably healthy this season, and if most players are able to have average to slightly above average seasons, than I feel this team will be top 4 in the east. If there are injury problems, if there is a lot of inconsistency, or if other teams over-perform by a lot I can see them falling to 6-9th. If all the worst should happen, long term injuries to stars, inconsistency by remaining players and other teams over perform, the Wings won't make the playoffs. I would say given all the available facts, its unlikely the Wings are outside of the 3-7th area of the standings. My optimistic prediction is 4th. As for the playoffs, well, that's just not even worth trying to speculate on. The Wings could be playing a hot goalie and lose in the 1st round. Or they could get hot, and win the Cup. Who knows? But that's the fun.

#1 most important stat most people miss, who ever has scored the most goals at the end of the game wins. Even if they are out hit 100 to 1.

No way he becomes a more offensively complete player than Flip. And that assist number is crazy, look at his career.
-
This whole small line argument seems flawed, especially with Boston being beaten by a smaller more high powered Chicago offense.
-
In this order: Tatar, Nyquist, Jurco, Bertuzzi, Sammuelson.
-
Well if the playoffs are any indication, he's trash and should only be on the 4th line. I disagree about his shot, his hands aren't stone, but Homer had a very underrated wrist shot.

Fact: Cheechoo had 56 goals one season. One season proves nothing, especially when that season shows he was on pace to have 22 points over 82 games and was playing with one of the best players in the world.
-
He lead a team that was at the bottom 1/3rd of the league in goals. Sorry, but if the Wings were prolific scores last season, I could see it, but they were anemic on offense, and this was fluke.

Its time for Holland to stop signing forwards and work on a trade for a defensemen. The teams top and bottom 6 are both pretty good, and barring some type of sweetheart deal where they can get a top line sniper, it should be set. So for all that is good and holy: No Cleary, yes Defenseman.
-
What roster spots? Last time I checked when you have 16-17 forwards and 12 spots there are 4-5 people who aren't going to be playing. Now Andersson and Nyquist just so happen to have AHL options. I could easily see one or both of them being sent down especially if Cleary is resigned and Helm is healthy. And I understand having vets is good, but, in the NHL having too many vets is punished.

Jim Nill takes Red Wings’ director of amateur scouting to Dallas
Shaman replied to wheelchairwing's topic in General
Going to have to wait on details, but the front office will see some major changes by the time the season starts. -
Well the whole "They want to re-sign him once they clear salary' part that was after the headline threw me. I know, reading a whole article isn't your game.
-
For all intents and purpose Cleary is back, they will re-sign him when they clear some salary. So the news is 'you will have Cleary, not today, but soon.'
-
I don't believe they can Pronger Sammy and Bert anymore, at least not without them actually being hurt. They have 5 forwards over the 12 that can play any given night.
-
This is the sound of Holland s***ting the bed. 16 forwards (including Andersson and Nyquist) and he signs #17. Say good bye to any chances of there being any youth on the team.
-
Way to s*** the bed Holland. SMH.
-
I will be pissed if, and only if, Holland signs another bottom 6 forward, including but not limited to Cleary.
