Vigneault? really? Isn't it 'the stacked team he coaches' the reason Babcock never gets consideration? Because this year I could easily argue that the Nucks could have been coached by anyone and they would have landed in the same position. Trotz as always deserves it though, hes given a team on a low budget and he always gets them into the playoff conversation, hes the only person outside of Detroit I would want to see lift the cup.

Eh, I find some of their more vocal and cocky fans obnoxious but other than I only hate their team with the same healthy respect that I have for all other teams.

I was being partially unrealistic, because I doubt he would come to the Wings. But if he did one would hope he would take a hair cut for a cup, and cash in later.

My point, so far in all these series I've seen the following: Cheap shots, over dependence on the first two lines for offense, runs being taking at net minders, and not many fights. It seems that there are a lot of enforcers who are slacking.

Helm is an amazing depth player, but hes definitely not part of the untouchables. I would guess 40 points a season would be pretty much his peak.

In before the iFlip (for skill) and Tradif (for grit) arguments. Seriously though, Mursak, Tatar, and Smith are the three most likely players, to be put in if the wings have any injuries and Babcock goes with talent over experience (Helm>Hartigan in 08).

Lets see, third best Center? (and not even close on forwards) Lemieux, Gretzky, Howe, Dionne, Esposito and Jagr would be ahead of Yzerman (bold are centres)(And Sakic is just behind him). Whereas with Lidstrom on defense I would argue the only two better than him all time are Harvey and Orr and with another Norris Trophy this year he could pass Harvey on that list. Yzerman was an amazing player, but even he says that Lidstrom was the best player on the team since he was drafted.

I would argue that Lidstrom is the single greatest wing ever to play. Howe was amazing, and what can I say about Yzerman that hasn't? But Lidstrom is probably the third best player ever in his position and the best defenseman of since Orr.

theres this one player on the wings, I think he might be the most talented Wing ever not named Howe... I can't remember his name.. oh wait its Lidstrom. Its a joke he didnt make a list of the ten most talented players ever and people like Gilbert Perreault and Denis Savard over Lidstrom... and no Howe? Really?

I am not even sure if Crosby would be top 9, hes a center and no way hes better than Wayne or Mario.
