I still think he should be traded for the right piece, this team needs a legit second line center, hes just NEVER shown CONSISTENTLY that he can play on that level.

Couldn't you say the same about iFlip? Hes a journeyman player, and until last year he was a mediocre SM-liiga player. I would be more open to Jamie Tardif because hes younger and knows the Wings system and the North American style better. I am no fight slappie.. My first choices would be Tatar or Mursk, but iFlip needs to string a couple good seasons along before he ever should be considered a legit top 6 player.

I see at least one UFA forward in the wings future, vFlip hasn't been that great as a second line center.

Its not just up to Holland, Ilitch is the end all be all on the money and it seems he likes to have the wings pretty close to the cap. And I mean honestly have you been watching the Griffins? iFlip isn't as dominate as his stats make him look, which isn't that dominate anyway.

With how much is coming off the books I don't see the wings standing pat with what they have + GR I see them picking up a couple forwards and playing with 13 again and right up against the cap.

Based on his age and his place on the depth chart for the wings. I should make my point clear, hes I don't see him ever being on the big team since Detroit has become very deep in forwards because of good drafts the last few years.

No to iFlip, hes a career AHLer, time to let the prospects get some NHL time under their belts.

I still like Fedorov no matter what people say about him, he was a great wing, very entertaining and he does care about Detroit.

Sorry but this is the third year every flip slappy have predicted 'this is going to be a break out season and he scores 60+'. There's an old saying where I come from: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Seems like Flip is going to be a career 40-50 point player... So why is it wrong to believe hes a third line center? Its not a bad thing, it just is what it is. The evidence seems to be pointing to the fact hes just not cutting it as a Second line center, so why not want the wings to invest in a guy who can put up points and help keep to the wings philosophy of balanced scoring throughout the line up?

No, I look at output, hes on pace for around 43 points this season. Hes either an overachieving third line center or an underachieving second line center. Personally him being in a defensive role and over achieving offensively on the third line is preferable to him being a subpar second line center who overachieves defensively. I am not the GM but I think he the team is better served with him as the third line center and investing some of their money into a better second line center, someone who can feed Franzen and Bert better.

The wings need a better second line center, sorry but Filppula isn't going to cut it, hes has no where near the offensive upside needed to keep the team balanced scoring. As I said he has not proved himself to be a top 6 player. I see the offseason brining the wings a third line winger, and a second line center. PS with Big E playing better I vote give Kindl a chance as the 6th D-man.
