First, great to have you back posting here. Second, great to see him preforming so well, if he can fill a role like a Brendan Shanahan light it would be awesome.

trading a 50+ point guy for a 30 point agitator? ya this is serious and won't turn into an enforcer vs no enforcer debate
-
So does anyone else hope Lidstrom comes back next season?
Shaman replied to Reilly's topic in General
I agree btw who is that on your display? -
If Colorado was still a good team it would be amazing to have a winter classic in Detroit with those two teams.
-
6 points in 6 games? on pace for 82 points? and heating up? This team needs more Samuelson if we are whipping on Z.
-
Move Flip down to the third line as hes the better playmaker, and will help Modano and Clearly score, and he is more defensively responsible, move Hudler to the second line, where he will benefit from Bert and Mule's size.

The best players in the game elevate their games when the second season starts
-
Yea, because this is what puts them over the top in their division, with this added toughness they will beat San Jose, LA, and the Yotes and retake their rightful place at the top

Video and who hit salei?

Points by a lot of the big players, a shutout, fights, and most importantly a W, the Wings couldnt have started 2010-2011 better.

Pavs won that fight :siren:

Do not like. Heres why: #1 Still would encourage teams to do poorly, it would just make it take half as long to secure that pick then do well the rest of the season, miss the playoffs and reap the benefits. My system would give all teams that missed the playoffs 6 entries in the lottery, first round losers 5, 2nd 4, 3rd 3, SCF losers 2 and the winners 1. All teams should be involved in the lottery, no ifs, ands, or buts. This would lessen the disincentive for doing well and making the playoffs (if youre a borderline team, making the push wouldnt drastically hurt your chances). #2 While this would help the Wings who draft well outside of the top 5 picks, poorly run teams will become very boom/bust like this, and this will make July 1 pretty boring. #3 Toronto media having another s***ty team to ***** about? Ya, no thanks.

5 million for 46 points? Holy Huet batman.

I want in on this one.

Well... most games free hockey streams are if not plentiful, atleast posted somewhere on the interweb. As for game center, I really doubt that the terms of service of this site or Game center would allow them to share that info with you.

well we now know who to blame for the wings losing...
-
Jesusberg if you wrote Aby's talent analysis you have lost all credibility, as the person who wrote it put him as an offensive defensemen.... Honestly... you should atleast know the positions of the players you analyze. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/justin_abdelkader

Wait... I dont understand... youre not supposed to throw a player under the bus the second they don't play like an all star their first year? BLASPHEMY! We should burn you at the stake for such utterances. In all seriousness... Nemi will be a better value at 2 then Nabokov at 5 or whatever he wanted, Nabby was a great goalie, but, he was a little too late to cash in on that as the league is moving away from the Vancouver model (high priced goalie) to the Detroit model (value goalie with better defensive play).
-
There really should be a more standardized way to rank them... as it looks like the wings aren't that deep in prospects when Id rank their pool top ten in the league.
-
I don't like the rankings, if youre the one who says one player is a 7.0C and such, you're very conservative... take Pittsburgh for example, they have a very shallow prospect pool but most of their top 20 are 7s or higher (14 of them)... the ranking themselves aren't bad per say, but some are weird, like Larsson still being so high after a bad season in GR and going back to Sweden.
-
Ok heres why I don't like the idea of him fighting: Hes got a lot of upside right now to be a top four d-man, if he was a career bottom pairing guy, I'd be all for him fighting, but as it stands theres more risk than reward for him droping the gloves in my mind. Feel free to disagree this is only my opinion.
-
Physicality is a HUGE yes... fighting... the idea of a fighting Swedish defensemen give me flashbacks to some event in the recent past...
-
In soviet russia DUI commits you! Had to do it... In all seriousness, I agree with the sentiment... hes going to get a slap on the wrist for something that any of us normal jackoffs would get jail time/suspension of privileges/fines/fees/tickets

The year before he performed quite well, though in a limited role on a stacked team. And what can you say about last year? He played with Brett 'hey guess what im gunna pinch in at the stupidest times' Lebda, he needed to be playing with someone who was more of a veteran presence to keep his game more in line and to cover for any mistakes. Rookies make mistakes, every last one of them, its the guys around him and the coaching staff that make or break a kid with this kind of potential.
