Ok, let me entertain this idea and ask some questions Who would you trade from the wings? Who would the Wings trade for? Where do you get the cap space for these guys? Where would these tougher players fit in the wings roster? What would we realisticly lose for giving up our currently 3/4th liners for these players? (you have to lose something)

I love Darren Helm, he flies around the ice and can hit and handle the puck, but after last nights game , does anyone believe he will ever develop a scoring touch? He blew 2 breakaways tonight and has never really been able to finish. If he can never finish will he ever be more than a 3rd/4th liner?

Meech and Lebda on D? The Wings Defense is officially not even top 15 in the League with those 2 scrubs playing, and Meech is going to get powerplay time too, I will bet that any goal scored on the Wings, one of those 2 will be in someway responsible for it. Ken Holland is a great GM but he really s*** the bed on the Kyle Quincey/Derek Meech decision.

The whole reason for starting this thread is everyone calls him the next draper, now we all know Draper was good at the breakaway especially on the PK, he use to be great at bearing it. Will Helm be like draper in this respect in the future?

if last year is any indication you only have to be 500 to make the playoffs, so if we keep up as we are now we wont have home ice, but we will make the playoffs. Maybe a year where we have to scrap will help us in the long run.

Well, what about Draper like stats? 30 pts avg, 40 pts on a good year? Does anyone think Helm could one day make that level? I never wanted to come across like i thought hecould somehow become the next Dats or Z or that anyone else believes that.

i agree with Carman, at this point with Kronner looking to be out for a month, theres no reason to call him up as a 7th dman and let him sit for that period instead of playing him in GR for 20+ mins a game.

With Kronwall out, I would love to put in an application to be a wing I am 23, from Michigan, I can fight, but not too well, I can skate, but not backward, I have shoulder problems, I am willing to play for league minimum. I can promise ill be more defensively responsible than Lebda, as I will not try to jump up in the play whenever the mood strikes me. So Ken Holland, we all know you read LGWs for the free management advice, PM me with when you'll need me to show up for practice.
