What do we do with him. He seems to not hustle and he plays like he is small. Then all of a sudden he pulls off a game tying goal! I have mixed feelings about Lang. I wish he would lay someone out.

I don't want to wine, but I thought all of the calls were bad. I thought they missed a few calls on the ducks and called some realy bad calls on the wings. And the two guys announcing were pathetic. I think that if some one gave them a choice of eatting a ham sandwich and sucking any of the duck's d***'s they would suck the d***. When the duck's were up 1-0 they kept saying how amazing they are they are soo good. It was 1-0 and they were acting like it was over. Then it was tied they were doing it again. It was pissing my wife off so bad she didn't evan want to watch any more.

What have they done? They made it to the conference title series, so did the Wings. They have a good team, so do the Wings. I don't understand the lack of respect the Duck fans and press are showing the Wings. If we are so slow and old why are we still playing while other teams are at home? Did they dominate us in the regular season? I think we split, right? So why now are they sooo much better than the Wings? I don't get it. I think they are very good but I'm not ready to give up. I'm from Ohio too. I grew up on a dairy farm in the middle of no where. We got one TV channel, no hockey. So I knew nothing of Hockey when I was a kid. Until we got Blades of Steel!!! I started getting the hockey video games, I liked the Pens, and Wings. I got to know the names of the guys, scoring tons of goals with Stevie and the gang. I didn't see a hockey game until I got to college, where we had espn. I was a casual Wings and Pens fan since they were the closest and both were really good. If a game was on I would watch but I didn't really follow them. About '98 is when I started to become a hockey fanatic. I loved witching the Lemuix comeback. And the Wings vs. the AV's. Since '98 I started learning as much about hockey history as I could. As the years go by I only like the Wings. I love the way the play the game, I love the way they draft. I love the way Holland tries to make the team better, it just seems like the Red Wings are a big family. My wife didn't like any sport when we met now she loves watching the Red Wings. The Blue Jackets are soo bad it's hard to root for them. I watch their games on FSN but I hate the way they play it's so boring. They don't move the puck at all. They have plenty of talent but they don't play as a team. Any way my basement is covered in Wings stuff and I will be a wings fan for life. GO WINGS!!!!!!

Think it's great. We need role players like Malt's. Not every line can be a scoring line. I thought it was a big mistake when they let McCarty go. We haven't done anything since. We need that toughness, heart, and defense.

Duckette, Roberto who, and one or two more You guys seem to be the exception when it comes to Duck fans. The reason I started this thread was I'm tired of hearing about how the ducks are going to steamroll the old, soft, slow, wings. They just talk trash like the ducks have accomplished anything. The Ducks have had a few good seasons. No Cups, 1 trip to the finals, and all of a sudden you are unbeatable. Believe a Wings fan when I say anyone can be beat.

I'm not saying we are going to kick their asses, I'm not even saying that we will win. I just hate the lack of respect given to the Wings. Why can't we just say you have a good team we have a good team let's play. I don't want to hear about how we are to old too slow. That had nothing to do with why we have failed in the recent past. It was poor execution, lack of hustle, and being out muscled. I think this team although many faces are the same has a chip on its shoulder and they are finally playing as a team. They are standing up for each other. Did you see Homer slam that dude who was ontop of Zetterberg? I've seen Lilja frop the gloves to defend one of his teamates. It reminds me of McCarty beat up Lemiux and they had that big brawl. They had their struggles and after that the started playing as a team, and went on to the cup.

I'm not saying we are going to walk all over them. I just want some respect for a great franchise. I think we would be over achieving if we win this series. That being said GO WINGS!!!!!!!

There are a lot of "ifs" in your statement. If this if that. What have they done!! Nothing! They have zero cups, ever. They led the league in fighting majors, whoopy. San Jose beat up on us in the regular season. Did it translate in the playoffs, no. Who had the better record, the Wings. Who is the top seed, the Wings. Who has 10 cups, the Wings. I'm tired of hearing all this smack talk when they have nothing on their resume to back it up!

I think we should give Bert a shot next year. He is starting to go to the net more and he is hitting more. Give him an entire season, I think he could be a great addition to our wings. We don't need Smyth we need D-men. If we can't lock up Schneid's we need to get a good replacement.

It applies because you keep talking about how big and physical the Ducks are. And how you will Dominate. So when was the last time you won a cup?? If the the Ducks win every playoff series then they should have a few cups then, huh?

I am aWings fan, and I would have agreed with you before I saw how these Wings don't give up, EVER!! Have you ever heard the story of David vs. Golith? Who won I don't remember.

If we suck so bad then why are we here. And why have we been to the playoffs 16 straight years? You don't realy think that Lidstrom is the only D-man we have, do you? Why can't we just say good luck and root for our teams.

I happen to think that the Ducks are a very good team. I think the Wings are good too. I'm not going to be arrogant enough to declare that we will DOMINATE but I think we have what it takes. You are in for a rude awakening. The wings aren't push-overs anymore. They will hit back. And no one is saying Hasek is going to single handedly shut the Ducks down. We have a team defense, not letting many pucks reach Hasek.
