The great Jacque out in Minnesota went to the papers to beg the fans to urge the refs to call penalties on the Ducks and Detroit posts the commissioners office phone number to beg for suspensions. LOL. Classic. I bet he'll love all those phone calls. "Yes, um sir, we know you cant do your job and need peer pressure to get a spine, can I waste more of your time with my call?" Lovely.

Babcock did a lot of homework and it showed. Splitting up Datsyuk and Zetterberg, the 4 lines, a way to attack Jiggy, getting rolling early on the road, and completely changing the style of play was amazing. From the first two games in Detroit, the Wings were slow and moving the puck along the boards. This played into our hands as we just forechecked and grinded out the play and Detroit couldnt get out of their zone. Then they were flipping and chasing and never really had control of the puck in either game. They made a complete form reversal tonight on all those things.

I just thought it was classy that he did it the way he did. I wouldnt have been so PC. Thought it should be posted.

Im not hiding either. I just got home from the game and dinner. Ducks got outplayed and didnt show any sign of life. Red Wings and Babcock figured out how to beat Jiggy. Exactly what I said yesterday about Detroit going at it wrong but they have had the backdoor all series. Im hoping to see Bryz Thursday, Babcock did his homework. Ducks have a 10 minute thing. You enjoy a win for 10 minutes after, you take in a loss for 10 minutes and forget. They wont linger but hopefully they will come out to play Thurs, this was a joke of an effort. They played a good 10 minutes in period one and then it was OVER. They had a game like this against Chicago at home earlier this season but havent played that bad again until tonight. Props to Detroit for putting on quite a display tonight.

I agree. We were concerned about being off for 8 days, travelling to your ice, and matching up. Well, they answered all that pretty well. We got a split in Detroit and now take home ice. Being honest and really watching the first two games, youve done well on the PP and great on the PK (though they didnt count as PP goals we scored 2 but show an ofer in the PP column)but overall, Detroit has been outworked in all but 1 of 6 + periods. We did take a lot of penalties in gm 1 and were lucky to be in it til the end. I expect a different team on home ice. They were smart and stayed in town last night, just got back, and will be ready to defend home ice. Giguere is even more sick at home, look up his stats. If they havent brought their A game yet, Detroit better find it by tomorrow or it could get ugly by Friday.

Honestly, when the Ducks season ends every year and the end of the year party at whomever's house is completed, my season is over until mid September. I take a break from posting on sites after the end of the year party and dont pick up again until camp opens. I wanted to talk hockey and jab with you guys but lets be honest, look at the photoshop posts, the Giguere pads thing, on and on. Unless I jump on board an homer it up the Red way, Im going to get monkey doo flung my way. Man, again with the pads, get over it, they are and have always been legal. You dominated in 03 and were eliminated. We have dominated you this series and we are tied 1-1. No Toby, nobody here has mentioned that. I touched on it in another post, didnt complain cause its not what I do. He did throw the stick at Getz and got away with it. He also flopped back ending up in his net but everyone here blames Niedermayer for drilling him into the net (do you know what your coach says?). Depends on which glasses you watched the game with as to wether or not Dominator got away with one.

Im not going to complain about "fair goals." Hasek has a really cool style of flopping around flailing arms, legs, and throwing sticks. When he doesnt do that he lays on his back doing snow angels (even the NHL frozen moment caught one of his better angels). People want to crack on Pronger, use injuries, talk about how they havent brought their "a" game, Im just telling the truth.

I keep reading about Detroits "A" game. If they havent played it IN 2 WCF games AT HOME, when the F are they going to play it? Maybe you dont give enough credit for the Ducks taking the game from them. Maybe youve seen their A game vs the Ducks? Many teams and their fans have waited for that "A" game but in REALITY, the Ducks take teams "A" games from them. 6 shots per period. 19 shots in the entire game. If not for Francois Beauchemin putting 2 goals past Jiggy, you wouldve lost both games at home. I havent watched any Detroit games this season outside the ones they played the Ducks but if they cant get up to play their "A" game AT HOME in the first 2 WCF games, what do you expect in games 3 and 4 in Anaheim? YOU WILL GET OUR A GAME. Ive also saw a bunch of people excited because you beat the Sharks. We owned the Sharks all season. I wasnt remotely worried about the Sharks. In years past, pre Pronger, Thorton and CheeChoo ran rough shod over the Ducks and Cheech would net 20 goals a season vs the Ducks alone. Different game with the man Pronger on the ice and we beat the Sharks 3-1, 5-0, 7-4, 4-3, and 3-2. You can see the lopsided scoring there no? Take pride in coming back and beating a "younger, stronger" team in the Sharks but they are FAR from the same team thats in your face now. Reality check. JS doesnt make acrobatic plays to make a highlight reel. He has an incredible defense in front of him and Detroit averages 6 shots on goal per period. If hockey isnt as exciting as it was in the 80's, send a message to Detroit to figure out a way to shoot the puck at even strength and jazz the game up a bit. 2 junk goals, power play, and a shortie and this is supposed to be exciting and WIN A CUP? Less than 20 shots per game is what makes games not so exciting. When a D collapses on you and you cant get an even strength shot off, is that JS Gigueres fault? Try another one buddy. 2 words, Conn Smythe. You dont get those for the size of your pads. You get those for holding an opponent to 1 goal in a best of 7 series. You get them for keeping your opponents scoreless in OT's for 168 minutes. You get them for going 11-1 in playoff OT's (including another W last night). He's allowed 2 or less goals in this playoff run in all but 2 games this year (last night 3 goals). Cry about his pads, take Kelly Hrudeys opinion as fact, but understand this man is a monster in the playoffs.
