I hear ya. I wrestled with the same thing when I saw just how tough the Wings played the Ducks. Had the Ducks lost, I really wouldve had a big hole in my schedule considering what I do for a living.

Hang in there. You guys had a tough series with before taking on the Ducks and were stretched. You had injuries. A couple of those games where you outplay your opponent and still lose will take its toll and the Wings came out looking pretty bad for 40 minutes tonight. They came alive in the 3rd but too little too late. Frustration, fatigue, and a tough team spelled doom. They gave it a great shot but I think losing the last two after outplaying the Ducks took a lot of heart out of them.

Gee, more class. f*** you. If you want my honest opinion on the Pronger hit, I think it was s***ty and if it was on one of our players I wouldve been mad as hell. I didnt buy the Rob stood him up excuse and think one game was lenient. Dickhead.

He did it last time in 2003 too. They asked Randy about it in the post game news conference and he didnt care. He said Chelisaurus came to shake the coaches hands so they assumed he went to the line but to them, they didnt care. Just another to add to the Boogaard and Lemaire list.

One big clue as to it being viewed as from Red Wing fans was the big red wings pasted on his garage door. Pretty bad timing to as the family was dealing with yet another medical issue with his new born son earlier that day. Classy.

Wow, I was going to come in and chat a bit and congratulate you fans on a solid season but now after reading some of this???????????? How any of you in HOCKEYTOWN can back a player for ANY reason not having the respect FOR THE GAME to shake hands with the opposing team blows me away. Then complaining calling the Ducks goons and such? Obviously the fans and this board arent all its stated to be. Oh well. Best of luck next year.

Some local Red Wings fans should not have toilet papered JS Gigueres house after game 3. He's been pissed ever since and playing like a mad man. Why do people insist on F'ing with goalies? I never get that. They are a nutty bunch anyway, why add fuel? Haha. Good luck tonight.

Red Wings had ONE game that they were able to put good use to the gaping holes JS left them with, besides that one game, JS has owned the Wings. Good luck on the hattie.

That may happen but I think all guys on both team knows whats at stake and now that Anaheim finally discovered what to do when Det is a man short, any penalty can be very costly. Should be a fun game. I was happy to get the split in motorcity, beating them 2 of 3 on their ice will be a tough chore.

Um, no, I simply asked if he always does this. Far from a wings fan, havent paid attention to Hasek pregame even when I bet for or against the Wings this season, never watched the National Anthem. I live in Orange County and saw him with his lid on for the Anthem twice. Get it now?

Hey whats the scoop on Hasek? At both games in Anaheim the guy wouldnt remove his helmet and respect the Flag of the USA. 2 games stood there with his helmet on while the Anthem was sung. Does he not appreciate the country he makes a living in? Does he do this at JLA?

You may also want to go to the box office NHL releases their tickets about now to an hour from now. Check www.anaheimducks.com, find the link for "ticket exchange" they are season ticket holders that have bought to many or cant make the game. Usually pretty solid pries there and secure and safe. Sorry to rain on the parade but look back at the Prongerless stats. During Prongers absence we were also without Beauchemin (spleen), Marchant (torn stomach muscle), Giguere (groin), and Pronger (foot). Hmmm? Wonder how we went 6-8 during that time? Didnt we lose 1-0 or 2-1 to Detroit IN DETROIT while we were missing Pronger, Giguere, Beauchemin, and Marchant. 4 key pieces missing including the Prongs and our #1 goalie on your ice and we were beat by a goal. Yes, you should feel very confident tonight. Now off to lunch (had to change clothes).

What amazes me is that now that youve actually scored 3 goals on JS, his pads are no longer mentioned and everyone has said this or that for so long, now its been proven. You guys are too funny. If Detroits D men stand around tonight and just watch the plays happen, let 2 Ducks crash the net and leave Hasek high and dry can I come back in and blast away? Even the Hasek snow angels wouldnt have helped Giguere while his dmen picked their asses around him. Get real.

JS will be in goal tonight. The D left him hanging and he couldnt recover on all 3 goals. The Red Wings passed to perfection and just as Vancouver fans picked up on but their coaching staff didnt figure it out, once JS is set up on one side and someone is behind him, its an easy tip in. He just cant get back to the open net once set up for that initial incoming shot. The only reason Bryz was our starting netminder for the Minnesota series is because Jiggy's newborn son had a health concern and Jiggy's mind was there instead of the playoffs. Ilya did an admirable job for us but the net belongs to our #1 which is Giguere. They had a morning skate that started at 9:30, I bet JS was on the ice by 8 with Francois Allaire. I saw a funny post above that the Wings would score no less than 7 on Jiggy tonight, LOL, you havent watched him all year especially after a game like game 3 have you. No excuses tonight, JS plays and may the best team win.

Losing Kunitz wasnt an excuse in game 3. IF we happen to go down at home twice in a row, Pronger wont be an excuse FROM ME. I know what we have on this team and what they can do. I know their talent and their drive. I give Babcock credit for a tremendous game plan and knowing his former goalies tendencies and weaknesses. I give the Wings props for executing and rolling the lines to perfection. Now it is up to the Ducks to counter. Will Randy be able to counter? Will the Ducks be able to execute the counter plan? That we will find out in 8 1/2 hours. Tape to tape passes executed beautifully ran circles around our D and found Jiggs out of position giving up 3 goals on 13 shots. When Bryz got in, he didnt get much help either. I know the Ducks were guilty of being half retarded spending over 1/2 the game in the box. They killed themselves by taking so many penalties and wearing down. I think they got lazy taking the fact they were at home, outplayed Detroit in the two games in Detroit, thought it would be more of the same at home where Giguere is almost unbeatable and had their asses handed to them when a brilliant coach flipped the game plan on them. They didnt react or respond. They played undisciplined and looked lost all night. Now we lose Pronger and believe me, outside Niedermayer and Pronger, we have Beauchemin and Odonnell and it drops BIG TIME from there. Im hoping they get back to their style of play instead of thinking all they have to do is skate onto the ice. Our shut down line of Pahlsson, Moen, and R Niedermayer will be huge as they have in almost every victory in the playoffs so far. When the Ducks were on the PK for most of the game, it took them out of any kind of game plan. Would it have mattered Tuesday? I doubt it, Red Wings came with a game the Ducks didnt see coming and flat out were outclassed badly. I see a VERY disciplined team hitting the ice tonight. I see the shut down line making things happen tonight. I see the PPG line forgetting about trying to be alpha males and playing smart hockey where people will know they are actually up and coming super star hockey players and not big mouth wanna be thugs. They will finish checks but not play dirty, keep out of the box, and I very much see a 2-1 game tonight. Yep, Im hoping we are on the good side of that but if we are not, I wont be shocked. Detroit will come out the same as they did on Tuesday, if the Ducks turn up the talent that they do possess, play smart, they will be just fine. I know a lot of you got pretty pumped up about a 5-0 win but believe me, I havent seen the Ducks play that bad in 2 1/2 months especially at home. I havent missed a single home game in the last two years and have only missed maybe 5 road games on tv in the past two years so Ive seen just about everything theyve done.
