I would pretty much get a boner if Parise one way or another ends up in a Wings uniform. Do you really think Nashville would really be willing to deal one of Weber or Suter within the division to the Wings, who they have been chasing for the last few years? I could see them making a move only if it's an expiring contract or someone that they know they can re-sign in the off-season. Also, I'm not attacking anyone here, by why is everyone still under the notion that the Wings are easily going to be able to move Huds or Ericsson who are deemed as garbage around here for anyone worth a s***?

After this historic meltdown, the Red Wings are the first team in sports history to be eliminated from the playoffs after being just 12% of the way through the season. Who is to blame for this embarrassing monstrosity? I personally would like to take a cheese grater to my Red Wings tattoo for making me represent such a poor run failure of an organization. I'm off to San Jose or Washington where I can get some real success in the playoffs...

D- I've been reading this forum for around 8 years, signed up a few years back and finally got comfortable posting this season. We've seen two streaks go from one extreme to the other... if this team is still hovering at. 500 in a month, then we can go on suicide watch.

It seems likes it took the Pens, Caps and Hawks a few years to figure it out; I guess it's finally these guys turn. I think it's kind of exciting to see teams come up like this, even if it may probably cause the Wings fits at times. Good for them... I hated them after '06 but then I kind of felt sorry for them for a while.

Maybe Detroit should be more like Toronto and have an annual fire sale, I mean, trades definitely guarantee success.

I don't think that those who don't throw fits on message boards and acknowlege that while they're struggling 3 weeks in to the season IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD should be pegged as "homers." I'd like to have a LGW contest in which one lucky fan gets to be the GM or coach for a week and see how bad they can destroy this thing with all of their negativity and end end of the world mentality every time things aren't looking peachy.

Do you know what I like about the Red Wings? In my 15+ years as a fan, I've never seen them miss the playoffs, raise four Cups, produce some of the best players that this and any generation will ever see, do the unthinkable and put teams together like 2002 and even the 2008 squad in the salary cap era that missed another cup by one game, a GM who doesn't make knee-jerk reactions and trade assets for rentals and has faith that the team's they have will be successful. The negativity on this board blows my ******* mind. The Wings haven't had it easy like the Hawks, Penguins and Capitals who have put their fans through hell while piling up draft picks that finally led to some success. They put good teams together with good late drafting and signing key free agents. No wonder no one respects Wings fans... the comments on this thread just confirm the fact that everyone thinks that they're arrogant, spoiled fans. It's three weeks into the ******* season... knock this s*** off. I don't care if the Wings win it all or miss the playoffs, I'll continue to watch these guys do this thing and enjoy Lidstrom's potential last season while everyone attempts to kill themselves after EVERY SINGLE LOSS.

Maybe if you can't hack all of this failure, you should root for the Sharks.
